Construite en 1807, cette tour de signalisation maritime historique est la seule tour connue de ce type aux États-Unis.
Situé sur Congress Street, c'est la plus ancienne structure debout de la péninsule de Portland et la maison d'enfance du poète américain Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Construit en 1860, il est reconnu comme l'un des plus beaux exemples de grandes pierres brunes à l'italienne aux États-Unis.
La plus grande et la plus ancienne institution d'art public du Maine, la collection se compose de plus de 18 000 œuvres d'art d'Andy Warhol à Winslow Homer en passant par Claude Monet.
Commandé par George Washington, c'est le plus ancien phare du Maine et il est toujours opérationnel.

There was confusion about the pick up spot. We were told to wait by the black tape and if I hadn't seen people getting on the trolly around the corner we'd miss is. The tour guide was good. Talked to fast for my 86 year old mom and aunt. And she'd say look at that and buzz right by it before u got a chance to turn around. She did give me restaurant advice after the tour which I appreciated very much. Would have liked more than 20 min at the light house and gift shop.
Knowledgeable driver. Good overview of Portland. Enjoyed visiting Portland Head Light. Comfortable trolley.
Our guide Barry was awesome!!! He was an amazing source of information. He was also hilarious and had us laughing the whole time. We learned so much about Portlands rich history and had a blast while doing so.
They will have a scenic and informative ride about the history of Portland and surroundings as well as current local preferences in food, favorites, entertainment, recreational activities and visit a lighthouse. You will be provided with a wealth of useful information that will most likely enhance the time management and quality of your stay.
The tour was hard to hear the driver, he was complaining more about the drivers and pedestrians than the history of Portland. Told us to stop talking do he could because people pay to hear him talk.
This tour was an excellent choice for us visiting Portland on a cruise. We thoroughly enjoyed our trolley tour of Portland and the Portland Head Lighthouse. The driver was very informative and kept us entertained with humorous anecdotes and facts about the town and landmarks. The time allotted for photos at the Lighthouse was just right. Great time and highly recommend the tour.
