Couvrant une superficie de plus de 6 000 hectares, la grande tourbière de Ķemeri est l'une des plus grandes tourbières de Lettonie. Réputé pour ses paysages uniques et son habitat de tourbières surélevées vierges, il détient un statut prioritaire en tant qu'habitat d'importance européenne. Lieux et horaires de prise en charge
La durée totale de la visite (4 à 5 heures) comprend le temps de transfert depuis Riga et Jurmala, qui est d'env. A 45 minutes aller simple de Riga et 15 minutes de Jurmala. Nous viendrons vous chercher dans un délai de 30 minutes à compter de l'heure de début prévue de la visite. La visite commençant à 3h00 est la visite Sunrise. L'option lever du soleil n'est possible que d'avril à septembre, et son heure de début changera en fonction de la saison et de l'heure réelle du lever du soleil (d'environ 3h00 en juin à environ 6h00 en avril et septembre). Votre guide vous communiquera au préalable l’heure exacte de départ dans ce scénario. La visite prévue à 9h00 débutera toujours à cette heure-là. Nous vous contacterons avant le voyage et vous informerons de votre heure de prise en charge.

What an exceptional day! The tour to Ķemeri National Park and Jūrmala far exceeded my expectations. The absolute highlight was Rolands. Who would have imagined that a hike through the Ķemeri bog would be led by a biologist? His knowledge of the wetlands, plants, wildlife, and ecosystem transformed what could have been just a beautiful walk into a fascinating learning experience. Beyond his expertise, Rolands was fantastic company, friendly, engaging, and incredibly flexible. It felt less like a standard tour and more like exploring with a passionate friend who genuinely loves sharing his knowledge. Rolands was the perfect person to guide us in this interesting and special place, very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to spend time with. His passion for nature and conservation really shone through. Also it was nice to have a tour that didn't take the full day for a change, too. Rolands was great with ideas and suggestions for our visit to Latvia in general as well. We learned a lot and had a fun time doing it!
Rolands, special guide! Funny, chatting, competent and skilled Biologist and al last but not least, undestanding like few others. He taught me a lot during the wonderful tour of the bog, explaining in simple and concise words. Absolutely recommended!
Roland’s was a very accommodating tour guide. He adapted to us and we were able to make the day a little more flexible. Rolands told us a lot about Kemeri Moor and the nature of Latvia. In addition, he also gave us a little training in the Latvian language, which was also very amusing and interesting. Roland also took a lot of photos of our experience, which was very nice to see. The guide was amazing because knowing in many areas so exciting and enthusiastic story. Answers to all questions and excellent pace. The landscapes are worthy of another planet and wonderful. You will have a great time so this is an excursion that I highly recommend.
Beautiful experience in the middle of nature! The ecosystem that characterizes this swamp is extraordinary! We chose to see the sunrise. Rolands, our guide, picked us up at 4 a.m. We arrived that the forest was shrouded in fog, a surreal landscape! We walked for about 2 km on the wooden walkway, to get to the tower from which we waited for the sunrise. Rolands is very prepared and made the day special with his sympathy. The route is a loop and you travel about 4 km, suitable for everyone. Afterwards we went to visit the resort of Jurmala and saw the long beach washed by the Baltic Sea. At 8:30 we were back in Riga. I absolutely recommend this experience, there were two of us and it was like hiking with an old friend!

We only had a short day in Riga from our cruise. Rolands helped us make the best of it with a fun hike through the incredible Kemeri Great Bog. We got a bonus side trip in a swamp area which was very different from the big. The visit to Jurmala surprised us with an amazing beach. We managed to squeeze in a brief visit to old town Riga before we had to leave. Rolands is an excellent representative of Latvia. He was kind, patient and professional. We learned so much and will be glad to return one day to take more tours!

We really enjoyed this excursion. Our tour guide Rolands was very friendly and informative. We were picked up from our hotel at 9am and returned at 2pm. In total we were 4 people, us plus another couple. The guided walk on the boardwalk around Kermeri Bog was spectacular! We were also lucky enough to see some wildlife including a Stork, Crane and Lizard! After we finished the 4km walk Rolands offered us some traditional Latvian sweets and tea. We were pleased we opted to do the Jurmala extension where Rolands drove us through the town pointing out things to see before we made a short stop at a viewpoint overlooking Jurmala and then on the beautiful sandy beach to see the Gulf of Riga. Rolands gave us the option to stay on in Jurmala and make our own way back if we wanted, but we were happy to travel back with him as we had other things planned. Throughout the tour Rolands gave us all the relative information about what we needed to see and know and also gave some general information about Latvia. He was happy to take photos of us during the trip and shared with us on WhatsApp afterwards. There were basic toilet facilities at the National Park and beach. But bring your own bottle of water and wear comfy outdoor walking clothes (walking boots not required, trainers are fine). We would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see more of Latvia beyond Riga.
