Me and my family was met with a well prepared trap here at Duna Cruises. As one of the employees of Duna Cruises told, everyday they have tourists, including families with small children, showing up with tickets from tripadvisor, getyourguide and other agents, only to realize kids are not allowed access on a kids tickets. I brought two small kids and booked for my wife and I and our two kids via Tripadvisor. We came 20 minutes before departure, well prepared and ready, but was immidiatly meet by the scam orchestrated by the ticket officers at the entrance to Dock 10. Against our will we were forced to buy additional two adult tickets at the inflated daily price - paid in cash. They had all kind of preproduced material, and asked us to prove they were wrong, or otherwise pay extra or leave with our tripadvisor tickets expiring unused. It is a scam!! It endes up costing is much more than what this sail cruise is worth.

We kindly invite you to look at our thousands of positive reviews from satisfied guests. Our policy is very simple: only children under the age of 2 can travel free of charge, as they do not occupy a seat. Just like on an airplane, every passenger over that age requires their own ticket. As you mentioned, you purchased your tickets through Tripadvisor. The Tripadvisor booking page clearly states that only children aged 0–2 travel free of charge, while everyone over the age of 2 requires a ticket. Since your children were clearly older than 2, our colleagues simply applied the published policy correctly and equally to all guests. We are sorry that this affected your experience, but calling it a scam is simply not accurate.
It was a cosy, quiet and beautiful trip, with views of all the beautiful buildings on both sides of the river. Various types of good seating and a nice toilet on board.

The boat was only 20 % full, quiet and smooth. We sat at the very front and loved the views and the complementary drink. (And the refilled bubbly was cheap and enjoyable too). The audio tour link was fine too hear about the surroundings. Overall a chill and relaxed hour with great sightseeing.

Such great value for money. We didn't listen to the audio guide, but we enjoyed seeing the sights and soaking in the sun. It was an hour. There are drinks available and some snacks. If you want something peaceful, cheap, sweet and no fuss, this is great. We went during the day and it was great, the sun and heat were strong though! The staff were so kind. Totally recommend 👌

It is a beautiful way to explore the remarkable city of Budapest and its attractions. The audio is available in several languages, which is really advantageous. Unfortunately, the audio does not indicate when each attraction comes up or on which side it can be seen. This makes orientation somewhat difficult.

One-hour tour with a welcome drink. There was an audio guide, accessible via a QR code. It was a bit interactive. If you want a simple tour, this is what you need. But there is no interaction with others. What is nice if you want privacy. We are going; there is a bar to order something else to drink and refresh ourselves. I appreciated the efficiency of the crew. We didn't have time, but I think the time slot for the sunset is better.

When boarding, a glass of sparkling wine or a non-alcoholic beverage is offered. Punctual departure with impeccable organization that makes the navigation pleasant and romantic, especially for couples. An hour of relaxation where you can admire the beauties of Budapest, such as the Parliament, the Chain Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, etc. I recommend the historic boat.

We chose the Duna Historical boat (Paddle steamer ) for the 20.30 hrs slot on 7th June in order to enjoy both the golden hour & the city lights . Excellent trip which ran to time with cheerful, welcoming staff . A fair bit of space to sit outside ., but probably worth noting that the covered area didn't have glass in the windows so still a good position for photos etc. Prosecco or a soft drink offered as soon as we came aboard with the option to buy more drinks. Cruise was probably a bit more expensive than the other cruise companies that I looked at but I wanted a trip that wasn't packed out with hundreds of people and a smaller boat.
