Description
Une excursion d’une journée aux singes Proboscis et aux lucioles près de Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Bornéo offre l’occasion de passer l’après-midi et la soirée à voyager à travers une forêt de mangroves située à Sabah. Il partira de votre hôtel environ une heure et demie en voiture pour rejoindre notre jetée. Lorsque nous arriverons à la jetée, du café / thé et des gâteaux locaux seront servis. Arrivée à la jetée, croisière le long de la rivière Croisière avec des mangroves de chaque côté de la rivière à la recherche de singes Proboscis, Macaque à longue queue, Singes à la feuille d'argent, oiseaux et observateurs de lézards. La nuit, émerveillé par le coucher du soleil de Bornéo et par la tombée de la nuit, laissez-vous émerveiller par des centaines de mouches à feu clignotantes qui éclairent les arbres de mangrove comme des arbres de Noël.

Weston est une ville située sur la côte ouest de l'État de Sabah en Malaisie. Il est situé dans la division intérieure de Sabah et à environ 100 kilomètres au sud de la capitale de Sabah, Kota Kinabalu. Weston est l'une des villes le long de l'autoroute Pan Borneo. Le singe proboscis à l'aspect bizarre gagne autant de popularité auprès des touristes que l'orang-outan, la zone humide de Weston avec sa grande population de proboscis devient rapidement la dernière destination écotouristique de Sabah.

We had the most amazing time in KK, and booking our day trip with TYH Borneo was honestly one of the best decisions we made. We recently joined the proboscis monkey and fireflies river cruise, and it was by far one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Tim was our guide for the cruise, and he truly made the entire journey exceptional. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and went above and beyond to ensure we experienced more than we expected. From spotting wildlife to sharing insights along the way, everything felt seamless and well thought out. The entire experience was incredibly well organised from start to finish. We felt very well taken care of throughout ,from the transport arrangements to the timing of each activity. The team at TYH Borneo was also very accommodating and attentive, making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. What really stood out was how smooth and enjoyable everything felt. There was no stress at all, just pure enjoyment and a chance to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. It’s clear that they are passionate about what they do and take pride in delivering a first class experience. Hamimi@Chris was our tour guide. My dad and I were entertained and well informed throughout our day. The car ride was long but Chris made it enjoyable and pleasant. The once-in-a-lifetime experience was more than what we hoped for. Our driver Chris was professional, friendly, and an informed guide. After a bit of searching, we were able to view a family of proboscis monkeys and some long-tailed macaques. Then after a tasty dinner we were taken to the beach at sunset for photo opportunities. Finally the fireflies lit up the trees for us on the cruise back to the jetty. We had an amazing time. Extra thanks to Chris for his attention to our comfort, safety, and efforts to make this experience unforgettable!

I joined the Proboscis Monkey and Fireflies Cruise with TYH Borneo and really enjoyed it! The staff were super friendly and easy to talk to. Everything was well arranged from pickup until the end of the trip. We managed to see many proboscis monkeys, and the fireflies at night were so nice to watch. Overall, it was a relaxing and fun experience. Totally recommend TYH Borneo if you’re planning to visit Sabah!

This was a brilliant tour with only our driver Ries taking us there and back. There are 2 river cruises on the Klias River - the first one is 1.5 hours before sunset, which we have seen proboscis monkeys, a crocodile, langur monkeys, hornbills, macaque monkeys and a monitor lizard climbing up a palm tree. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. After the first tour, the sun was setting and we had dinner. After that, we went on the second cruise at dark to see the fireflies, which was awesome but it was cut short as the rain started lashing down on us so we had to get back to base quickly. Since I have done 4 tours with TYH Borneo and mentioned tour guides and drivers, there is one person that deserves a special mention and that is Nurul - she was the one who organized and catered for my tours and was very proactive when we were contacting each other via WhatsApp about arranging the dates, drivers, tour guides etc. It would not be possible without the work and commitment that Nurul did for these tours - she deserves all the credit for arranging my tours. 1. The mini-bus had bad back wheel suspension - because we were picked up the last, we had to take the rear most seats and suffered being thrown about for 4 hours on the road, to and fro. My parents are almost 80 and this was insufferable for them. 2. Disallowed to change seats - when we wanted to change seats on the way back, we were told this was not allowed by your company policy. Kathy (the guide) was rude about it and did not bother to understand about the discomfort of my old parents. 3. Driver and guide was late for pick-up and did not call to notify. We were left waiting and anxious until I called your office. 4. Apart from monkeys, there were a lot interesting birds along the river but guide did not bother to spend time on them at all.

Booked a last minute trip to do a Bongawan River tour. TYH Borneo was super responsive and arranged everything very quickly over WhatsApp. Picked up from KK by our driver and guide Roger who was lovely. Arrived at Bongawan River and it was raining, didn't see any proboscis monkeys but a couple of macaques. The trip was quite short but nice. As mentioned by others, there is a lot of rubbish in the river, maybe brought in by the tide. Offered a buffet dinner, then trip to sunset beach. Fabulous sunset, many people were there but beach is big enough to absorb everyone! Then after sunset came back up the river and saw the fireflies in the trees, magical!
