My partner and I were excited to see the reef in a comfortable & safe way, and our expectations were fully met! The passions crew were high skilled, friendly, and full of energy and fun. My partner isn't a good swimmer, but this didn't matter. They took great care of us, and the views of the reef via snorkel were fantastic! Don't forget to bring a towel and motion sickness pills!
Staff is amazing, thanks for everything. It's a very weather-dependent activity. It was very windy, and even though it's safe to go out to the reef, lots of passengers got seasick. Because of the wind, we only got to one location instead of two. Snorkeling during heavy wind and big waves is also not ideal. The reef is beautiful! Lunch was fantastic. The crew is amazing. Check the wind forecast!
I spent the day with Dave and Roberto as my guides. Both lads were incredibly supportive, patient and informative. I had the best day under the best supervision, special shout out to Dave for answering all my questions and then some!
We flew in from Sydney specifically for this experience. Half an hour before sailing out the trip was cancelled, apparently due to the boat failure. The staff has done NOTHING to help us out trying to find an alternative. This was a complete failure so please beware (I am just in process of claiming a refund through Tripadvisor)
Thank you for your feedback, we once again sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused due to the cancellation of the experience. As a small, locally owned company, cancelling a tour is never a decision we take lightly, but this was unavoidable. As you booked with a third-party, we are not authorised to initiate refunds or offer alternative options, your travel agent must take the lead in managing your travel adjustments and request. We hope that you manage to experience the Great Barrier Reef in the face of adversity and wish you all the best for the remainder of your visit to Cairns.
Amazing experience! Highly recommend Passions of Paradise!
Good location on the reef. Saw a big wall of lots of coral with lots of fish. The lunch was very good -- like five different salads and a vegetarian chicken nugget.
Friendly and enthusiastic crew, very organised and clean facilities. We appreciated the crew’s emphasis on safety throughout our full day tour. Our family of 12 from the US and Australia had an awesome time.
Excellent tour! All staff 100% attention to safety and details. Enjoyed the commentary and friendliness and especially individual attention from Lena on the reef!! Thank you!!
My partner and I had the most incredible day with Passions of Paradise. From the moment we stepped on the boat, everything felt organised, safe, relaxed and well run. You can tell this team runs a very tight ship, in the best possible way. The whole crew worked together so smoothly and made the day feel easy from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, calm and professional, and it made such a difference being looked after by a team that clearly knows exactly what they are doing. A special shoutout has to go to Parker, who was the perfect scuba guide. He made us feel safe and confident, explained everything clearly, and helped make the dive one of the best experiences we have had. He was patient, calm and great company underwater and on the boat. The reef itself was stunning, the boat was great, and the whole day felt like the exact Great Barrier Reef experience you hope for when booking a tour from Cairns. Five stars does not feel like enough. If I could give six or seven, I would. Highly recommend Passions of Paradise to anyone who wants a perfect Great Barrier Reef experience.
I joined Passion of Paradise after trying snorkelling a few days earlier, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The snorkelling site was beautiful. The coral looked colourful, and the whole experience was very enjoyable. The food was also great, with fruit, snacks, tea, coffee, and a warm lunch provided on board. I was especially impressed by the service and safety management. They provided a well-fitting wetsuit that made snorkelling much more comfortable, and even though I joined the tour by myself, the staff made sure I had a buddy and that everyone stayed within a safe area. The return journey also included interesting commentary about the reef and marine life. Most of all, every staff member was incredibly kind, from the staff at the Reef Terminal counter to everyone on board. A special thanks to Simon, who oversaw safety throughout the tour and helped me spot fish while sharing details that I would have completely missed on my own. I am also especially grateful to Phoebe. She led the tour with such positive and warm energy, kept checking on people who were feeling seasick, and when my phone broke and I was panicking, she even drew me a map to help me get back to my accommodation. Thanks to her, I was able to get back safely and make it to my flight. I truly recommend Passion of Paradise to anyone visiting Cairns. It was a wonderful experience, especially as a solo traveller. Thank you to the whole team!
