What a day! It was our first time whale watching! I’ve always wanted to do it but my parents never took me so I took my 7 year old daughter! It was an experience to say the least! We didn’t see any whales but it was her first time in open water and the seas made us feel like a toy in a huge bathtub! We experienced the motions of a rough sea and our captain and crew kept us up to date on what was to come! It wasn’t for the faint of heart this day and some people did get sick! The crew was quick to provide solutions and clean up! I was so scared this would traumatized my daughter but when she walked off the boat it was nothing but core memories and a few creases in the brain! Nothing picture perfect during the ride but wouldn’t have changed it for anything! We experienced the true power of the sea! So beautiful and volatile at the same time! Definitely felt safe and got our $$$ worth. Would totally do it again!
It was a very nice day on the water but no whales but did see Common and Bottlenose dolphins. The boat was clean and crew was very nice.
I recently moved to San Pedro and have always been curious about these cruise tours thru the harbor. We had family visiting from out of town, and decided to finally check this out. The experience was well worth it! Feeling the ocean breeze in your face all the while getting to see and learn the history and current state of the west harbor was so enlightening and a true delight. We even got to see some sea lions! Our captain and tour guide was so friendly and informative! The whole family enjoyed it! Highly recommend this experience!
It was a beautiful day and we saw tons of dolphins! I wish there was more narrative. Didn't get much info about the area.
Got a chance to see a few dolphins. Have a great. Definitely will be an annual summer activity.
It was such a lovely trip around the harbor filled with interesting information about Long Beach!
First time whale watching and even though we didn't see whales we saw lots of dolphins. I went solo and had the best time. Would do it again.
The price was good. Had the best experience ever.
This wasn’t a good experience for me. Access to the boat was poorly indicated and folks were wondering where to go. We waited 15min outside, no shade available under high heat. Nobody came to get us, finally at 3 o’clock someone wave from the boat that was docked for a while to have us board. Inside the boat some additional paid beverages are available. The guide was hears to hear from the boat’s speakers. Second part was better, we saw many dolphins from very close. No whales though.
The trip was truly amazing; I have experienced this boat ride six times, and each occasion has been met with top-notch service. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. It is an absolute must-do.
