Disappointing overall… Service was really good and food was OK. Room was clean and A/C working well. But all activities are rushed and over crowded. The beach of Ti Top island feels more like a harbour surrounded by all the boats. Water is dirty. Also it says 2 days… you arrive on the boat after 12h on day 1 and day 2 by 9:15 you need to vacate your room with all your luggage ready outside by the door then 1 hour for brunch and arrive back at the marina at 11h… would not recommand
When you read the reviews, please keep in mind that there is high pressure from the Amanda cruise team to write a TA review. If you notice, most of the Amanda review writers are between 1 to just a few review contributions ever. The cruise team stands right next to you asking/insisting that you write and complete a TA review for Amanda. High pressure! I said that I would write my review at home. Their response was, "Why not do it now, it is free!" I write many reviews, so you can expect that this review is genuine and I received no pressure as I insisted on writing the review at home. As this was a luxury cruise, (2N 3D) I am comparing it to a luxury hotel, such as what we stayed at in Vietnam as well as other countries. The room cleanliness was good, not great. The mirror was dirty when we came to the room, the shower gel was empty and the in-room towels were that of a low quality hotel. (Our pool/swimming towels were of that same low quality. I don't expect torn/worn towels if I'm on a luxury cruise) The bathtub must be just for looks and advertising. We ran the tub water for a long time, and could barely get water into the tub. The bed linens were of good quality and the mattress comfortable. The balcony was delightful, but needed a good cleaning. The room has great potential given a little work/cleaning. The food had potential, but was of poor quality compared to any other restaurant that we ate at in Vietnam. The salmon and shrimp/prawns were overcooked and the other food was just ok. The omelet had runny eggs. Not food that I would expect on a luxury cruise. The dessert was subpar as well. Fruit was always available, but not in our room as advertised. The activities were a joke. The fashion show left a lot to be desired. We had a former squid fisherman on our boat, and were told that Amanda's lures were much too large to catch the tiny squid near the boat. Andy told us that there was no bamboo sticks due to it raining, but it wasn't raining both of the nights. The foot bath certainly was not as expected, even by a "moderate hotel" yet, our cruise was deemed a luxury cruise. It seems that the activities are more for advertising than actuality. Andy worked very hard. He needs support and cannot be expected to run everything. More support staff would lead to a more quality and luxurious cruise. The contracted excursions were wonderful and well done. Great guides!
Lovely cruise, small, not overcrowded with people, friendly staff who are very willing to help Chan, was very friendly, made a lot of effort with our 3 year old daughter and made our night on board very enjoyable
Staff on Amanda Cruise was excellent, made our holiday one to remember. Special thanks to Chang, who made our stay on the cruise more enjoyable. The food and drinks were great too. Recommend the cruise to anyone interested.
Definitely not a five star experience. I hate to give a negative review but from the shuttle pick up to the car they arranged for drop off was 1*. Food quality was below par. Rooms had a loud air con sound. All of it was a 2* experience. Staff was wonderful. Would not recommend.

We would also like to clarify a few points to avoid any misunderstanding: Our shuttle service is a shared transfer and therefore operates according to a fixed schedule, which was communicated to you in advance. We understand that this may have been inconvenient, but the shared transfer needs to follow its fixed schedule for all passengers. In your case, since you decided to checkout earlier than the scheduled time, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that a shared shuttle will be available at that specific time. Regarding the air-conditioning noise, the sound is part of the normal operating sound of the cabin's air-conditioning system and can be perceived as a form of white noise. However, we understand that noise levels can be perceived differently by each guest, and we’re sorry if it affected your comfort. We’re sorry that the food did not meet your personal expectations. Taste and food preferences can naturally vary from guest to guest, but we will nevertheless share your feedback with our restaurant team and review the food quality to see where we can improve. We understand that you may feel frustrated about not receiving any compensation if you decided to cancel one night of your stay. However, we would like to clarify that this is in accordance with the general cancellation policies of accommodation providers. Once the room and services have been reserved and prepared for the full stay, an unused night is not automatically eligible for any compensation. We have tried our best to explain the situation and our policy so that you can understand our position. However, we’re truly sorry that we have not been able to reach a mutual understanding on this matter We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. The cruise was impressive and very fun. We did several activities and met beautiful places. They made us feel at home and being our honeymoon they gave us a couple of surprises. Jenny's service was extraordinary, she is very attentive.

We booked this cruise through a tour operator in Hanoi. The landscape is very beautiful, but unfortunately quite polluted. There are a lot of ships in the bays. The cruise itself was too touristy for us. There was a fixed schedule that everyone had to stick to. Breakfast was served from 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. Afterwards, you could go canoeing for 40 minutes, but no longer than that. The food was quite bad. We had the impression that the food is made to appeal to tourists. Unfortunately, this goal was missed. We particularly noticed negatively that you have to leave a five-star review because otherwise the service staff won't get paid. So we wrote this review secretly and deliberately didn't mention any names.
