Everyone at the surf school is super friendly, good company and happy to hang out was well as being excellent t surf instructors. They are trustworthy look after peoples things on the beach when they go in the water. Good instruction great English funny guys and best in hikkaduwa. - hey tony and crew from keals

The Blue surf hikka is, indeed, the best surf school on the Hikkaduwa beach and even further. Me, my bf and all our friends, whom we non-stop recommend the school, have managed to stand up on the board during the first 5 minutes in the waves. The trainers speak good English and can explain easily what exactly you need to do; they are not just saying “paddle”, like in many other places, they explain how to position yourself on the board, how to balance the weight, how to jump correctly and when exactly to do it, how to notice the waves from afar and many other things. We have been going to Sri Lanka for 4 years now, and every time we bring our friends-newcomers here, to make their first surfing experience memorable. But apart from being a perfect surfing school, this place and Ruwan, the main guy (a real gem, one of the most intelligent, caring and wonderful people I’ve ever met), are offering very well-organized trips: thanks to him, we’ve visited Sigiriya rocks - climbed ancient ladders up a very high rock, astonished by the craftsmanship of those who lived thousands of years ago, Nuwara Eliya - the tea plantations and the waterfalls couldn’t be more refreshing, Kandy - the magnificent old temples and the city, allocated on the mountain spur, Ella - an unexpectedly European town in the heart of the island, with nice cafes and astonishing skies at night, and many many more - towers, lighthouses, whales.. All the trips were arranged perfectly, we could just sit back and enjoy: Ruwan took care or all tickets and entry permits, all transportation, be it his car, a new A/C van for a big group, a boat or even a zip line (!!!), accommodation - he knows all the best places and all the right people, or the local dining places. He is always ready to tell you about the place you’re visiting and suggest something impressive to see or to do. If you’re looking for a perfect vacation in Sri Lanka, all you have to do is contact him&BlueSurfHikka. That’s what we do every time and will do again next year. Tony made learning surfing so easy that with-in few hours I was able to learn basic and gained confidence to learn and practice on my own. I am in love with Surfing and this the place behind that love

Booked a lesson here after reading a great review and Tony organised a lesson with one of his team, Sherin, who was a fantastic teacher! Was very patient with me as a beginner and very helpful. Had so much fun, it is hard work even without paddling as they help with that part so you just concerntrate on standing on the first lesson, which is a lot of fun! Will be booking another lesson before I go home! A lovely beach with lots going on, worth having a look even without surf!

If you travel to Sri Lanka, Tony from Sri Lanka must be your best guide. I've been to Sri Lanka many times, and I want Tony to accompany me. Tony has a good command of Sri Lanka. He is very handsome and familiar with several languages, such as English, German and Hindi. The most important thing is that Tony is conscientious and responsible. He helps you to solve all the problems before and after work

We used Blue Surf first to some lessons in surfing for our two children. The equipment was top, instructors really experienced and good with children. Also a great knowledge on the local beach and waves. Then we met Tony, the manager, and we booked him for a 5-days round trip on Sri Lanka. He was fantastic! He knew the small places, was a great driver, service minded more than usual - and he was great at history and knowledge about the country. Great hotels and a really good trip. Next time we will buy only plane to Sri Lanka and ask Tony to arrange everything else. Wow that was a fantastic person to meet. Contact them before you trip. Maybe he can do better than your agency.
