Laura and Luca are super-friendly hosts who made us welcome in their stunning basement restaurant just off Corso Cavour. We had a lot of fun making spaghetti, ravioli and capelletti. We weren’t as “hands-on” as I would have liked as we just had to watch a fair bit and we had no role to play in making sauces or cooking the actual food. But we had a great time making pasta. When we asked to be more involved, we were. The lunch we had was a wonderful Italian feast provided by our generous hosts - charcuterie, bread, filled pasta, spaghetti, tiramisu, water and wine.
We had a lovely experience at Laura and Luca's home! We were there with our children, ages 13 and 11, and everyone had a great time. The highlight was the use of a "spaghetti guitar", a device that we didn't previously know existed. Over our meal, we enjoyed learning about the life of Luisa Spagnoli, the 19th-20th century chocolate and knitwear entrepreneur from Perugia. Though the home is outside of downtown Perugia, it is not a long walk from the Perugia Ponte San Giovanni train station, and buses go out that way as well. We highly recommend this!
Laura and Luca were wonderful hosts! We had an amazing evening learning how to make homemade pastas. Definitely a highlight of our 50th birthday girl’s trip!!
The experience was great. It was a highlight of our trip in Italy. We were welcomed in the home of Laura and Luca. We had great fun learning how to make homemade ravioli, tortellini and spaghetti. We also learned how to make tiramisu. The best part was the meal, eating what we made and drinking local red wine with the family. Everything was delicious and the family was very nice and gave us tips of sites to visit in Perugia after our 3 hours together. We highlight recommend booking this class and experience.
We had such a great time at our cooking class! The entire team was incredibly kind and welcoming, even going out of their way to accommodate my picky eating habits. The food was absolutely delicious, and we left feeling inspired. We can’t wait to recreate these dishes at home! 100% hours recommend.
We were lucky enough to get a one on one cooking class with Valeria and it was the highlight of our trip! We sat and chatted with Valeria with some wine and homemade aperitifs, and you could tell Valeria really wanted to get to know us, and us her. We then had an excellent cooking session making tiramisu, ricotta filled ravioli, and tagliatelle. Valeria was fantastic with her instruction and her encouragement through humour and motherly-like care. Then we went into the kitchen and watched as Valeria made the pasta sauce and cooked the ravioli, which honestly was so wonderful as we got to learn some tips and tricks along the way. We finished our class with eating three courses together, paired with wine and homemade limoncello. We ended up travelling around Italy for the next couple of weeks, and both my husband and I have said that cooking with Valeria was the highlight of our trip. Thank you so much, Valeria! It was so great to meet with you and this is definitely an unforgettable experience!
