Description
Il y a des années, à l'époque des rois rwandais, un prince avait décidé de décorer sa maison en moulant des formes géométriques sur le mur de sa hutte à l'aide de bouse de vache. Avec le temps, cette technique a été développée pour devenir une forme populaire d'art traditionnel rwandais appelée «Imigongo». Pendant votre atelier, vous apprendrez l'histoire de l'art imigongo au Rwanda. Vous pourrez ensuite peindre votre propre Imigongo (Art de la bouse de vache) à emporter.

Great fun! A very special type of art. The studio was cosy and our guides friendly and attentive. Even as someone with not much artisitc skill, I managed to design a painting I very much enjoyed.

My husband, my friend, and I recently visited Azizi to paint Imigongo with Theoneste. Theoneste was a fantastic host, sharing the history of Imigongo in a fun, engaging way, telling stories, joking, and laughing with us. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kigali!

This was an enjoyable date night with my husband. Before we started painting the instructor gave us a brief history lesson on how they started using cow dung. She was the perfect host. We were allowed to bring our own wine and played music 🎶. I definitely recommend if your in Kigali.
