UM. If you are a foodie and want to learn truly authentic Sri Lankan cooking, then you MUST do this cooking class with Malika. It’s about 2 hours and you learn so much about balancing flavor, different spices and how to build incredibly delicious Sri Lankan food. 10/10 would recommend!
Just incredible. The best experience we had. Amazing food. Atmosphere, beautiful kitchen and house. We have all the recepies and can't wait to try at home 🙌 THANK YOU FOR HAVING US
We just arrived in Sri Lanka and did the cooking class on our first night here. The whole family is extremely warmhearted and welcoming and we had a lot of fun exploring the different curries. It is definitely an incredible experience no one should miss! Amazing food <3

Malika's cooking class was amazing! It was just my friend and I, so it was super chill. Malika explained everything in detail and told us which ingredients we could substitute with food we have at home. In the end we got a certificate and the recipes. Everything is also super clean and hygienic. So if you want to learn how to cook authentic Sri Lankan curries, you’re definitely at the right place! :)

What a fantastic experience and the best food we have eaten while here in Sri Lanka! Fresh ingredients, lovely place and Malika was so kind even picking us up from our accommodation. She was so generous with her time taking care so that we would follow along, learn a little more about the traditional cuisine and get involved in the cooking process ! Would 100% recommend Malika and the Forest Lodge cooking class to anyone passing through!

We have just finished a fantastic cooking class with Malika and her Mum. We are vegetarian and they taught us the most delicious Sri Lankan vegetarian dishes which we ate surrounded by the beautiful setting of Forest Face Lodge. They were patient, charming and welcoming. They really educated us about Sri Lankan cuisine. Highly recommend this cooking class.

It was a great experience to learn how to prepare local dishes. All the food was delicious and afterwards you get recipes to do at home some of the best food from Sri Lanka. The host was very kind and explained well how to prepare everything. Blast experience!

Amazing experience hosted by a wholesome family. This was really well done by the hosts, from the welcome drink and tea. Beautifully prepped veg and spices which was so interesting to learn and see different things that are available and how they can be cooked with compared to back at home. The chefs were hugely knowledgeable and carefully explained the techniques and process, whilst we got the chance to get hands on and make 8 different delicious dishes! This was a very fun experience and would definitely recommend whilst in Kandy.

The cooking class was wonderful! We cooked 8 different curries and learned a lot about Sri Lankan cuisine! We were shown and explained all the ingredients and spices and then we prepared the food together. The numerous ingredients were all fresh and the food tasted delicious! The instructor was very friendly and we felt super comfortable. After we prepared the curries, we were served a very delicious dessert and we got a certificate. The cooking class was an absolute highlight of our trip for us and we would recommend it to anyone!!

We had a fun evening doing this cooking workshop. Malika explained everything well. We learned a lot! It was a great evening and of course in the end we could enjoy our homemade sri lankan diner. Highly recommended!
