Our group with a variety of cooking skills (advanced to beginner) all had a great afternoon with Marcella. We made homemade pichi and tagliatelle noodles with two different sauces. We started with making contucci and that was a lovely end to our lunch. Fun afternoon and a special thanks to Marcella for the hospitality and conversation. We loved your husband's wine :)
We were obviously second class. We arrived to a construction site and it just went downhill. While I give credit for flexibility in scheduling, we were not a priority. Multiple phone calls took precedence. Further, recipes were not provided. Overall an underwhelming experience.
We loved our relaxing day of cooking with Tina! A sunlit area, easy recipes and lots of hands on experience, plus wine and delicious food!
We started with making a crostata using a plum homemade jam of our choice. Then we learned to make a vegan pasta using chestnut flour and olive oil. Of course we learned how to make a traditional pasta using semolina flour. Both were so fun to make and eat. Marcella also taught us how to make two types of sauces using fresh tomatoes and other veggies. This was an excellent Italian activity. Grazie mille Marcella! Aloha, from Hawaii .... Marcella and her family were so wonderfully welcoming and friendly! We made an authentic crostatta, a chestnut flour pasta and a tagliatelli pasta dish - all from scratch!! Delicioso!!! The class was held at a beautiful farm in Montelcino - the entire experience was cultural, informative and simply wonderful!!
Had a wonderful evening with Marcella and her family, we learnt so much about the important ways of cooking and preparing four Italian foods. Thank you Marcella for making us feel so welcome in your beautiful home. Michael and Veronica
The experience was wonderful! We made some amazing food with some expert help and learned a lot. The view from the house was amazing and it was a beautiful place to enjoy lunch at the end. Our hosts were wonderful!
Our travel agent accidentally booked our cooking experience on the wrong year. We were staying about an hour from Montalcino and had hired a one-way private driver to drop us off. When we showed up at Artemisia Viaggi thinking we had a full day of cooking ahead of us, we realized quickly that we didn’t. Nadia jumped on the phone and called her contact at the Agriturismo where the cooking class would have taken place. Between the two, they made it work! In the meantime, it started to rain and we were without a car. Nadia, who had just found a prime parking spot and paid for a day of metered parking, told us she would take us in her own personal car to the class. We were so grateful! She even picked us up once we were finished! Since we were the only ones at the class, it was completely custom to what we wanted to make. My husband and I were able to have an intimate one-on-one experience making homemade pasta and tiramisu. This was our favorite experience in Tuscany and almost didn’t happen if it wasn’t for Nadia!
