Nous commencerons la visite par une prise en charge pratique depuis notre bureau, situé à proximité du centre-ville. De là, nous nous dirigerons vers la maison de Nina, située au cœur du château historique de Berat. À votre arrivée chez Nina, vous serez accueilli par un accueil chaleureux de notre hôte local et cuisinier expert. Le cours de cuisine commencera par une brève introduction aux plats que nous préparerons. Vous recevrez tous les ingrédients et équipements nécessaires, et notre cuisinier expert vous guidera à travers chaque étape du processus. Vous aurez la possibilité de préparer deux ou trois plats traditionnels albanais, selon vos préférences et vos disponibilités. Certains plats possibles incluent les aubergines farcies, le Fërgesë (un plat traditionnel albanais à base de poivrons, de tomates et de fromage). Une fois la cuisson terminée, il est temps de s'asseoir et de savourer le repas que vous avez préparé ! Great cooking class with mama Nina in a restaurant in the castle. We had a great visit with Mikal who helped with translation and generally kept the conversation flowing. Wonderful experience with lovely people. The food was delish!

We had such a wonderful experience at this cooking class and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berat. The cooking was great fun, and we learned how to make some delicious traditional Albanian dishes in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The highlight, though, was the people. Nina and Mikael were incredibly kind, warm, and friendly, making us feel like guests in their home rather than tourists. They shared stories about Albanian culture and made the whole experience both enjoyable and memorable. If you’re looking for an authentic experience with amazing hosts and fantastic food, don’t miss this cooking class. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Albania!

We had a wonderful time with mama Nina learning how to cook authentic Albanian dishes. She is very nice and fun and we also had a local man that knows English well to translate if needed. We cooked furgese, aubergine and meatballs and enjoyed our meal with some local raki and cold white wine. Would definitely recommend to try if you are in the area and are looking for something fun to do. The place is also a guest house with very reasonably priced drinks and a spectacular view. In just a few short hours Nina gently demonstrated, to an international group of 5, how to prepare a wonderful, simple, genuinely tasty Albanian meal. It was conducted in a unique setting, at the back of Restaurant Vasili, in the ancient castle of Berat, cooked in the simplest of kitchens. The experience was truly memorable, and at a very reasonable price compared to other schools. I urge you to give it a go.
