Nous explorerons les villes et villages de Cotswold, dont Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury et Bourton-on-the-Water. Il y a aussi le superbe point de vue de Dover's Hill, des routes secondaires pittoresques et notre village « secret » hors des sentiers battus, dont de nombreux clients conviennent que c'est un moment fort de la visite! Les visites partent de Shakespeare Stratford-upon-Avon, ou de Moreton-in-Marsh dans les Cotswolds, alors faites une excursion idéale pour les visiteurs séjournant dans ces villes. Il est également très facile de faire une excursion d'une journée en train de Londres Paddington, Oxford ou Worcester (à Moreton-in-Marsh), ou de Birmingham (à Stratford-upon-Avon). Si vous voyagez de Londres ou d'Oxford, nous pensons qu'il est préférable de prendre le train jusqu'aux Cotswolds et de faire un tour ici - vous éviterez tout le trafic, ferez un charmant trajet en train panoramique et pourrez passer encore plus de temps dans les magnifiques Cotswolds!

Lors de cette visite, vous explorerez les Cotswolds
Les passagers qui se joindront à la visite à Stratford-upon-Avon seront recueillis au terminal d'autocars de Shakespeare à 8h50. Ensuite, nous nous rendons dans la ville de Moreton-in-Marsh, où nous récupérons nos derniers clients à la gare de Moreton-in-Marsh à 9h30. De Moreton-in-Marsh, il est à 15 minutes en voiture de notre premier arrêt officiel. Nous vous présenterons la visite en route.
Il ne vous reste qu'à quelques minutes en voiture de notre premier arrêt, le point de vue de Dover's Hill, et tout au long du chemin, votre chauffeur-guide commencera son commentaire divertissant en vous racontant l'histoire des Cotswolds. Au point de vue, vous profiterez d'une vue imprenable et découvrirez certaines des traditions les plus originales des Cotswolds ! *En cas de mauvais temps, nous pouvons omettre l'arrêt à Dover's Hill. C'est magnifique par beau temps, mais cela peut devenir très boueux quand c'est mouillé !
Chipping Campden est une charmante ville de marché typiquement Cotswolds, pleine d'histoire et de patrimoine, mais qui abrite également de superbes boutiques indépendantes et de superbes cafés et gâteaux! En utilisant les cartes que nous fournissons, vous aurez environ une heure ici pour explorer et découvrir Chipping Campden par vous-même.
En utilisant les étroites backlanes, nous visitons notre village "secret" de Cotswolds pendant environ 20 minutes. C'est un endroit hors des sentiers battus que beaucoup de nos clients conviennent être le plus beau village de la visite!
La ville la plus haute des Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold est un bourg historique animé avec de nombreux bons magasins et une variété d'excellents endroits pour déjeuner (déjeuner non inclus). Nous nous arrêtons ici pendant environ 1 heure et 15 minutes, et avec les cartes que nous fournissons, vous pouvez explorer les points forts de Stow à votre guise.
En utilisant les ruelles étroites, il faut environ 30 à 40 minutes de route de Stow-on-the-Wold à Bibury. Après Bibury, c'est à 30 minutes en voiture de Bourton-on-the-Water, notre dernier arrêt avant de ramener nos clients à leur point de départ. Décrit comme la "Venise des Cotswolds", Bourton-on-the-Water est un village de carte postale avec des ponts en pierre des Cotswolds traversant la rivière Windrush qui traverse le centre du village. C'est très populaire auprès des visiteurs, en particulier par une journée chaude où pagayer dans la rivière est le passe-temps de choix, mais une visite des Cotswolds ne serait pas complète sans un arrêt ici.
Pour les passagers qui nous ont rejoints à Moreton-in-Marsh, nous revenons ici pour vous déposer vers 17h. Si vous voyagez de Moreton-in-Marsh en train, nous vous recommandons toujours d'acheter un billet flexible qui vous permet de prendre n'importe quel train aller-retour, et / ou de prévoir un départ après 17h00. Nous retournerons ensuite à Stratford-upon-Avon pour déposer nos derniers invités vers 17h30. Si vous souhaitez commencer la visite à un point de retrait et être déposé à un autre, pas de problème! - Si vous arrivez à Moreton-in-Marsh en train, le train arrivant vers 09:17–09:20 est idéal. C'est une petite gare, et elle est à seulement 1–2 minutes à pied du parking où votre guide vous attendra.
- Si vous arrivez à Stratford-upon-Avon en train, notez que notre point de ramassage se trouve à 5-10 minutes à pied de la gare. Veuillez noter que le dimanche, aucun train n'arrive avant le départ de la visite.
- Uber et les services similaires ne sont pas largement disponibles dans les Cotswolds, et les taxis locaux peuvent être difficiles à réserver à la dernière minute. Nous vous recommandons vivement de réserver des taxis à l'avance ou d'utiliser les transports en commun si possible.

It is well paced and leaves you a lot of time to explore each town Elaine is very knowledgable and navigated efficiently to the most popular towns. Lots of fun!!!
Our guide, Jason, was fantastic. Shared lots of good information on a variety of topics as we were driving from place to place. Very friendly personality and presentation style. The tour includes a combination of very touristy (but pretty) places and some that are less touristy, and the company reversed their normal order to try to get to some of the busier places early in the day before the crowds would be too bad-- this worked well. Per their website suggestion, we took the train from Oxford to meet them at Moreton-in-Marsh, and the train was delayed-- knowing that, they happily waited for us to arrive. Due to some minor confusion, another one of their drivers (Steve) dropped us off in Stratford at the end, and he insisted on walking us from the bus drop-off to our hotel and helped pull our luggage-- this was service above and beyond what was expected! Finally, it worked so well in our overall trip that we could (if we chose to) start the day in Oxford and end in Stratford (or vice versa) and bring our luggage along-- that was a very nice benefit offered by the company.
Our guide, Steve, was ready and waiting at the train station as we arrived. Since we had received very clear meet up instructions, it was easy to quickly locate him and head out for our day. Steve prepared us to each village’s information prior to arriving. The Cotswolds actual sell themselves with their great beauty but Steve made it easy for us to explore each area on our own making sure we were armed with exactly how to access the best sights. His enthusiasm for the area was clear! I had waited a long time to travel to the Cotswolds and nothing about them or the tour caused any disappointment.
My partner and I joined the Cotswolds in a Day tour, and we enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked the Secret Cotswolds tour for the following day! It was a wonderful experience and worth every penny. Our guides, Elaine and Mark, were fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. They were also incredibly kind and helpful to us, coming from Italy, as well as to the other non-native English-speaking guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our Cotswolds in a Day tour. Our guide, Martin, was truly amazing- a wealth of knowledge about the history of The Cotswolds and England. Mark was an excellent guide on this wide-ranging exploration of several adorable Cotswold villages. He is knowledgeable, clear, and patient. Also a safe driver on these narrow roads.
