Corroboree Billabong Wetland Cruises - Croisière au coucher du soleil de 2 heures

Description

A great time was had by all. Donny was our guide and was very knowledgeable on the plants and wildlife on the Billabong. It was very interesting and of course beautiful with the sun going down. Great memories made!
Thoroughly gorgeous trip on a huge beautiful billabong. Water birds, lots of crocs, water buffalo and magestic sea eagles
Cam, our tour guide was very good. He spotted numerous salt water crocodiles and a few fresh water crocodiles and brought the boat in close so we could get good photos of the crocodiles. We did the lunchtime tour, the lunch was a mixed salad and quite good value. Highly recommended this tour.
Hi Bruce, We are so glad you have had a great tour and seeing what the Billabong on the Wetlands have to offer. Cam is a great and passionate guide and enjoying your freshly made lunch just makes it perfect.
My husband and I have done this tour many times (hubby is up to 9) with friends, family or just us. We love what this tour can be, Picturesque, Humbling, Beautiful, Majestic and worth every penny if you like nature and seeing our wonderful animals in their element, better if you dabble in photography. Cant recommend it enough, especially when they go further up the river systems.... However out of all the tour guides we've had and there's been a few different ones, I didnt rate this guy as knowledgeable or entertaining as previous guides. He didn't go to far up the river systems so missed seeing things we knew were farther up. He put his arm over the side into the water to grab a lotus leaf and waffle on about the studies being used for silk production, bullet proof vests and various other items while we had nothing to look at except crappy long grass.. Ahh croc infested water, warning at start not to do exactly what he did! Then went straight past the only buffalo right on the water edge to sit at a section of river for so long to watch the sunset (it wasnt even close to setting so the glare impeaded any ability to see for at least 20min). Saying all that, 1 not so great guide out of 9 trips will not stop us going again,, STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE TOUR. For us we will check which guide is on before booking!
What a fabulous afternoon out. Our guide Alan had a great sense of humour and was most informative. We learnt a great deal about flora and fauna in the area. Wonderful bird life in the Billabong. We enjoyed seeing the different crocs (some have their own names). Also wild boar and water buffalo. We’d return again. Maybe next time we will hire a Barbecue boat and replicate some of the routes we took with Alan.
Hi Bron, Thank-you for that wonderful review of your Sunset Cruise with Alan. He loves showing his beautiful backyard of the 'The Wetlands' on Corroboree Billabong with you all. Sounds like you guys saw a lot of the Wildlife out there. And we look forward to welcoming you back. 🤗
Had a fantastic time on the Mary River wetland cruise! Booking online was incredibly easy and communication was great. The wetlands are absolutely beautiful and tranquil. We saw tons of bird species and plenty of both freshwater and saltwater crocodiles (apparently it's the highest density of crocs worldwide!). Our guide Allan was amazing--so knowledgeable and funny. We learned a ton and had a great experience!
Hi Brooke Thank you for the fantastic review! We are so happy you had such a great experience on the wetlands and we hope to see you again one day :)
Unfortunately minimal wildlife was seen. Significant wildlife scared off by speed of boat. Little time allowed to get photos before boat was in gear again and off. If you have opportunity to do Yellow Waters do it!
Great experience very informative and Stuart was excellent. We were very fortunate to get a beautiful sunset over the water. Thankyou
Hi Julie Thank you for your lovely review . We are glad you enjoyed the sunset cruise with Stuart and hope to see you again one day.
My wife, our daughter and I went on this cruise on Monday October 6, 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time on the tour. Our guide Donny was excellent. Donny was/is very knowledgeable and informative of the history of the wetlands and local area, as well as the various plants, birds and other animals that inhabit the Billabong. We were lucky enough to observe a large male croc sunning himself on the riverbank and later on observed another large croc on the water's edge. We also saw a large buffalo at the water's edge. Well worth the drive out, thoroughly recommended.
Hi Guys, Thanks so much for that awesome review. Donny is very knowledgable and loves to share his backyard The Wetlands with you all. Its is a beautiful part of the world. ☺️
