Description
Andres (le propriétaire) vous attendra à votre hôtel, si votre hôtel est proche du marché, nous y marcherons, sinon nous prendrons mon SUV confortable. Andres vous emmènera d'abord visiter le marché central traditionnel et ses environs pour rechercher des produits frais locaux que vous utiliserez pendant votre cours de cuisine. Ensuite, vous vous dirigerez vers le restaurant situé dans une belle maison coloniale au cœur de la vieille ville de Quito. Au cours de cette visite, vous découvrirez la vie d'un local et apprendrez à préparer 3 plats traditionnels, que vous pourrez reproduire chez vous. Préparez-vous pour une journée bien remplie remplie de vues, de goûts et d'odeurs incroyables. Et à la fin de tout cela, vous pourrez savourer le délicieux repas que vous avez préparé. Expérience hautement recommandée!

Nous pouvons venir vous chercher dans un hôtel dans la ville de Quito. Si vous séjournez dans le centre historique dans une zone difficile d'accès, nous vous demanderons de vous rendre à un point de rencontre. Si vous séjournez à proximité de l'aéroport, veuillez nous le faire savoir et nous pouvons vous faire rencontrer au JW Marriott ou nous pouvons organiser un service de ramassage.

10/10 experience. My friend and I really enjoyed visiting the market, trying some different fruits. Then the cooking portion was so much fun! They gave us recipes I will absolutely be recreating for my family when I return home. The food was amazing and we got to take home what we didn't finish. Absolutely recommend!

Our group of four were taken to the food market in the old city, and our driver, let us through the fruits and vegetables and other areas where exotic fruits and vegetables we’ve never tried or sampled as we bought the ingredients for our cooking class. We were delivered to a courtyard inside one of the old buildings where a lovely group of women taught us how to serve a proper Ecuadorian meal. We participated by dicing vegetables and going into the kitchen and seeing how the things were cooked we took notes on recipe sheets so we could have a souvenir to try at home. It was a lot of fun, very educational, and then we got to sit in the dining room and eat the food that we had prepared. It was a memorable day. The tour lasted about four hours, and it was worth every penny, the women who taught us were gracious, talented, and warm it’s a wonderful experience that I will cherish.

We enjoyed our cooking experience with Chef Margola and Assistant Sylvia. They showed us each fruit or vegetable in its raw form, explained every step in each recipe, and allowed us to get "hands on" with some of the preparation. Best of all, we had a delicious meal at the end.

Picked up at hotel (a bit late because of traffic but kept informed). Escorted round market with the very knowledgeable Andre and had delicious juice. Learnt so much about the local produce. Cooking class was lovely, not really possible to be very involved in the actual cooking because there were 4 of us preparing a joint meal, but still very informative. Very tasty nibbles, soup and something based on cornflour cooked on plantain like leaves. Fruit dessert. Highly recommended. All staff were superb
