It was a tedious, but really nice adventure. Night hiking under the stars, then decent breakfast with hot coffee on the amazing crater rim. Then going down, watching beautiful landscapes all around. The guide arrived in time, patiently answered on all the questions via WhatsApp and in person. He explained all the details and provided hiking sticks, which was crucial to me. Best guide in Lombok. Fun to trek with and great help during the hike. We did it in 2019 and trekked till rim. The peak was closed at that time.

This tour was absolutely INCREDIBLE! one of the most impressive experiences of my life! The track is quite a challenge not gonna lie, like wow we were physically exhausted but it was worth every sore muscle! The guide and the porters were the sweetest support you could ask for, carrying not only our tents and food for the days but also making us fried banana, the most delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast plus porridge at 2 am before the summit hike, and during the entire time being happy and smiley! I could not have asked for a better team! It was magical!
