My husband and I attended an ensemble concert at MozartHaus yesterday evening and it was wonderful. It is a relatively short experience but the balance of the programme selected, the light introductions and explanations as to why different pieces were included and the beauty of the sound created made for a beautiful experience.
Combo ticket. Tour of House and then concert, so worth it. Ensemble were just brilliant! Their performance was amazing and informative too. Highly recommend!
We attended a concert at the Mozarthaus in Vienna on the evening of Sunday the 9th of August. It was a sweltering hot day and a relief to be down in the cool cellar of the house which had been transformed into a small, but pretty and comfortable recital room. The concert was performed by the Wiener Ensemble, a chamber music trio of piano, violin, and cello. We had a one-hour performance of classics, including from Mozart, Haydn, Dvořák and Strauss. It was wonderful to see and hear music played with such technical brilliance combined with a deep, deep passion. It was very moving. There were virtuoso performances from all three musicians and the joy with which they played fully infected the audience. A sublime experience.

What a treat. The venue itself in the basement of one of the maestro himself, Mozart's apartment that's now a great museum. Outstanding acoustics and a perfect selection of symphonies and compositions that even my 5 yr old enjoyed thoroughly.
