Non seulement vous suivrez les traces des gladiateurs, mais vous aurez également un panorama à 360° d’où il était possible de voir les 50 000 spectateurs sanguinaires avec un récit brillamment exécuté par un Guide passionné. Après votre visite guidée du Colisée, vous passerez devant l’Arc de Constantine et entrerez dans le Forum Romain. Si vous rêvez de visiter l’emblématique amphithéâtre Flavien de Rome, cette visite de l’arène du Colisée des gladiateurs est faite pour vous. Après avoir évité les longues files d’attente et vous être dirigé vers la porte arrière de cet étonnant édifice, alias « l’entrée des gladiateurs », vous aurez droit à des sections complètement fermées aux détenteurs de billets standards. Notre visite du Colisée avec accès au sol de l'arène vous permet de vous tenir exactement là où s'est déroulé le feu de l'action. Voir le Colisée sous ces perspectives totalement uniques est une émotion intense, renforcée par le récit historique captivant fourni par votre guide passionné, qui séparera les faits du mythe sur l'un des sites les plus intrigants au monde. Après votre visite exclusive du Colisée, nous visiterons l'arc de triomphe adjacent - un chef-d'œuvre imposant en marbre blanc, qui regorge de détails intrigants. L'empereur Constantin fit ériger le monument en 315 après JC pour commémorer sa victoire sur Maxence quelques années plus tôt - une bataille qu'il prétendait avoir gagnée avec l'aide du Christ lui-même. Malgré son affirmation, il n'y a pas de symboles chrétiens dans l'arc. Au lieu de cela, il y a des statues de prisonniers daces et des reliefs représentant Marc Aurèle donnant du pain aux pauvres. L’intérieur de l’arc montre la victoire de l’empereur Trajan sur les Daces.
Évitez aussi de faire la queue pour entrer dans le Forum romain, où vous vous retrouverez plongé dans ce qui était autrefois le cœur palpitant de l'une des plus grandes civilisations antiques que le monde ait jamais connues. Admirez les ruines incroyables des temples et les colonnes intemporelles pendant que votre guide erre dans les pages de l'histoire ensemble pour un portrait incroyable de la Rome antique.
Éclipsé par le Colisée et le Forum romain, en réalité, c'est la colline du Palatin qui jette son ombre sur les deux. La légende dit que c'est ici que Romulus a fondé Rome, mettant en mouvement l'histoire que nous connaissons tous, et les archives archéologiques confirment que les colonies ont commencé sur cette colline dès le 8ème siècle avant JC. Cette colline était si somptueuse à son apogée que le mot «palais» en dérive en fait. Suivez votre guide pour certaines des meilleures vues du Caput Mundi, en regardant le Forum d'un côté, le Circus Maximus de l'autre, et explorez les vestiges extravagants de nombreux palais impériaux.

- Nous ne sommes pas en mesure d'accueillir les arrivées tardives car nous avons une entrée programmée à respecter. Les visites manquées en raison d'arrivées tardives ne sont pas remboursables. Veuillez prévoir un délai supplémentaire pour rejoindre le point de rendez-vous car les rues de Rome peuvent être confuses.

It’s long and hot in the summer. However, Tonia was amazing, paced our group well and made the most of the shade. She was very knowledgeable and took extra care with my 79 year old mom.

Vasco our tour guide was fantastic. He was so friendly and knowledgable about the entire aspect of the tour. He was funny and kept everyone involved asking questions and keeping everyone's interest. It’s super hot in the summer and unfortunately still have to lineup !! The tour itself was good - you learned a lot and vasco tries to answer every question. Make sure to bring lots of water!
