City Explorer: excursion privée d'une journée à Potsdam

Great guide who lead us to Potsdam, explained what we saw and was very lively and fun. Did need a break for a quick lunch.

Martin was exceptional - the very BEST guide on our trip. He not only knows the history and the most memorable sights but also has a local's insight into the culture of the area. He answered every one of our questions with interesting and useful information. His passion for Potsdam got us excited to come back again. For example, he not only showed us the Bridge of Spies but also the path of the wall nearby which was impacted by the waterline and affected the property rights of the people after reunification. A bonus was that he brought his friendly dog who will steal your heart. Martin was very open about the challenges facing Germany while maintaining his optimism for the future. Another example of his knowledge was that he explained that the small potatoes left on the grave of Frederick the Great was a reference to the King's concern for the common man which he alleviated by increasing the supply of potatoes which are nutritionally dense and complete. All these observations, his choice of sights and observations provided us a Master Class in understanding and appreciating Potsdam. Amazing Guide!!

Our tour guide Martin was fantastic- he was very knowledgeable and super friendly!! He customized the tour to our needs and preferences and did not try to pack too many places in the time we had. It was a very leisurely tour and informative at the same time. Highly recommend both this tour and Martin and the guide!!

Betty did a very good job of getting us to various points in Potsdam. Her knowledge of the area was very good and her history again very good. There was a lot of walking on the tour and so that surprised me as I knew there was some walking but not to the amount we did. That is not Betty’s fault however since I am mobility challenged it was a bother for me. Again this is not Betty… but for the cost of the day per person we have had a private driver in other cities who took us to all points by car

San Souci palace was the highlight. However unfortunately we got a late start as we missed the direct train because our guide had to purchase tickets resulting in poor time slots for the 2 palaces. This delayed us by over an hours overall and thus missed other items on our itinerary.

This was an excellent adventure to Postdam. Our tour guide, Miha, was very helpful and informative. He was also flexible and customized our tour based on what we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend.

Michele is a fantastic tour guide! She is very knowledgeable about  Potsdam and was very flexible to our needs so the tour was tailored for us. We laughed and learned and had a great day visiting this beautiful and unique city with Michele.

We spent four plus hours with Betty, who was irreverent AND very knowledgeable - quite fun! A good overview of the role of Frederick the Great in German history.
