my experience with viator was excellent. my experience with san diego cruise was poor. when we showed up for cruise we were told the boat had mechanical issues and it was cancelled for the day.
Service and the view are amazing. Good variety of food and drinks to choose from. Outside seating has an amazing view, so are the inside.
The ticket counter was friendly but sort of indifferent to selling tickets. "Oh, did you want to buy a ticket? My card swiper isn't working." Was she hoping I just go away to continue her conversation with the other clerk? Then there is the obigatory forced photo op. I don't know what they do with these photos but I managed to wait far away until they started loading the boat and the photos were over. The boat was nice. Well maintained. The crew was sort of asleep. I guess you can't blame them. The first officer's narration was excellent and quite lively. The captain, not so much. I was thirsty and wanted some snacks but they only use QR codes and smart phones. I check it out but had no desire to sign up with a third pary restaurant app, so my mind switched to "I hope this gets over soon." Not a good mindsent to be in. If they're trying to save money, just install old fashioned vending machines that take cash! Pro tip: Teenagers and about 30% of adults are going to get kicked off smartphones in 2027, so they better get backs to basics. This is probalby my last iPhone. I'm going back to filp phones to protect my privacy in 2027. It was a nice day. Be aware that it takes about 30 minutes to load-unload so the actual tour is only about 60 minutes.
Easy to book online, queue was fine and enough space on the boat to move around. Friendly staff and knowledgeable
Boat is a bit outdated yet comfortable. Good bar selection including basic food items, soft drinks and spirits. The best part is how well informed was the captain and his style of guiding the Tour. Felt very natural and easy to follow. The sound system on the upper deck definitely needs an upgrade. Overall good experience.
I was eager to do the 3:30 best of the bay cruise with my GoCity pass, but when I went to the ticket booth I was informed they were not doing the 3:30 cruise. Not impressed and I will not be participating in any other city cruises in any city again.
Am impressed with the short trip they are right on time and boat is perfect. View on the roof deck is spectacular! Will recommend to friends!
Very nice tour around San Diego. The tour guide was friendly and informative. Food inside was pricey and nothing special. Staff all very helpful and approachable.
Website does not direct you to the correct location. No cash purchase on board vessel, need to join payment app. No credit card purchases without signing up.
Nice scenic tour around the harbor. We enjoyed the scenery from the water and all the Navy ships! Captain was very informative although it was difficult to hear on the upper deck unless you were close to the speakers. Binoculars would be helpful to see some of the details on shore.
