Overall, we had an amazing time exploring the country of Morocco. We enjoyed each of the stops and all of the Riads that we stayed in were in great locations and were beautiful. I felt like we had the right amount of time in each location and had extra time to explore in the evenings. For our family, the favorite stops would be Chefchaouen and the Desert Camp in Merzouga. We also loved the shopping and exploring the medinas in Fes and Marrakech. The only thing we were disappointed in was that we were just provided with a car for transportation so it was tight with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and all of our luggage, especially with the long hours of driving for this trip. We also weren't able to see the Cedar Forest with the monkeys because the mountain pass was closed the day we were travelling because of snow. Our driver, Amer, did a great job and we always felt safe with his driving. He helped us find the best olive oil and dates in the country as we were driving around and always was willing to accommodate our family when we wanted to stop for a break. We had two rooms at each of the stops to accommodate 4 travelers - this worked great for our family, but note that the rooms weren't always right next to each other and you only get one key to use for most of the Riads, so you either need to leave the doors unlocked or have the others open the door. We always had a king size bed in one of the rooms and 2 twins in the other. All of the Riads provided breakfast which always included scrambled eggs, bread and pastries and was a typical continental breakfast. They were all very good. We also had included dinner in the Desert Camp and Dades Gorges - both were very good as well. We did need to pay for admission to the attractions - please note that many places do not accept credit cards, so cash is needed here!
