Great with photos and communicative

First time visiting machu picchu and thankfully we purchased a tour guide for circuit 3b. Everything went very smoothly. The machu picchu entrance tickets and the bus tickets were already prepared for us. In the morning, William picked up us at our hotel on time and was very communicative. In the morning it was very hectic because the amount of tourist but William knows exactly where everything is and where to go. He's very knowledgeable and took amazing photos of us. He knows his facts as well as making funny jokes.

Great Tour

We had a wonderful tour of Machu Picchu with our guide William! The tour was very informative, interesting, and also a lot of fun. William explained everything very clearly and answered all of our questions patiently. He was very friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We learned a lot and really enjoyed our time at Machu Picchu. Thank you, William, for this amazing experience!

Stay away from this provider!

Stay away from this provider. I booked circuit 2 and was told four days before the tour that my circuit would be circuit one after all because of a system synchronization error. Seems to be quite a common occurrence based on the rest of the reviews here. No confidence, no communication very unprofessional. Stay away.

Great day

A few weeks before our tour it was a little bit chaotic because our booked route was changed. One day before the tour it was changed back again to the initial one. Everything else worked fine. We received our tickets for Machu Picchu and the bus. Our guide William waited for us at the train station as planned. He told us many interesting things and took a ton of great pictures. The tour was around 3 hours long. We were lucky and had William for ourselves, so no large group which was very nice.

Very bad experience. I would not recommend booking with TripScape.

We booked a visit to Machu Picchu for four people more than a month in advance, paying approximately €200 per person, including admission to Circuit 2, bus, and guide. To put the price in context, a regular ticket to Machu Picchu costs around €40, so we expected that by paying this price, the agency would correctly handle something as basic as securing the contracted tickets. Furthermore, a week before the visit, we explicitly contacted them to confirm that everything was correctly organized, and they told us it was. However, the day before our visit, they informed us that they had not been able to get the tickets for Circuit 2 and that they would give us tickets for Circuit 1. We had not accepted this change, and after having booked so far in advance and having confirmed with them a week earlier, we find their management completely unacceptable. The worst part is that, once there, we verified that there were still tickets available, so we were finally able to buy the tickets on our own that the agency had told us they could not get. After complaining, the agency itself agreed in writing to issue a full refund. Even so, getting them to return the money became another problem: more than a month passed without them issuing the refund, despite our messages and the fact that they had already agreed to return it. We finally had to open a dispute through our bank to get the money back. The latter seems especially important to me, considering the price they charge. We are not simply talking about a ticket for about €40, but a service of approximately €200 per person. If an agency charges several times the price of the ticket precisely for taking care of the organization, it should guarantee professional management and, at the very least, comply with a refund that it itself has accepted. In short: we booked more than a month in advance, we confirmed a week before that everything was correct, they told us yes, they notified us the day before that they did not have the contracted tickets, when we later verified in person that they could still be obtained, and subsequently it took us more than a month to get our money back, having to finally resort to the bank. Based on our experience, I would not recommend booking with this agency.

Booked Circuit 2-A, received Circuit 1 at the last minute

Very disappointing experience. We booked this activity specifically for Machu Picchu Circuit 2-A, but only few days before the visit we were told that it was no longer available and that we had to accept Circuit 1 instead. This seems to be a recurring practice (according with other reviews): informing customers at the very last minute, when all alternative tickets are sold out, effectively leaves them with no choice but to accept the replacement. The guide also provided very little information and the experience was far from what was advertised. I strongly recommend being very careful before booking this activity.

Confirmed months in advance, yet days of stress before Machu Picchu

A confirmed booking that turned the days before Machu Picchu into an extremely stressful experience for our family. We are a family group of six people. We booked Machu Picchu Circuit 2 on May 5 for August 22 at 6:30 AM, more than three months in advance. Our reservation was confirmed and a significant part of our trip was organized around it, including an expensive train journey immediately after the visit. Travelling as a group of six obviously means that every booking, every train ticket, every hotel and every change of plan has much greater consequences. Reorganizing such an important part of the trip at the last minute was simply not a realistic option. Just a few days before our visit, Tripscape Travel suddenly informed us that our confirmed Circuit 2 entrance had been replaced by Circuit 1 because of what they described as “a synchronization issue in our reservation system.” Their solution: accept Circuit 1 or cancel and get a refund. At that point, this is not a genuine choice. When you are already in Peru, travelling as a family of six, with trains, hotels and an entire itinerary booked around Machu Picchu, you feel completely trapped. Either you accept something substantially different from what you booked three months earlier, or you risk jeopardizing one of the most important and expensive parts of your trip. But what I particularly want future travellers to understand is the extraordinary level of stress this situation caused our entire family. For two or three days immediately before visiting Machu Picchu, instead of enjoying our holiday together, we were constantly worried about whether one of the highlights of our trip would actually happen as planned. We spent hours exchanging messages, trying to understand contradictory or unclear information, dealing with what appeared to be different AI-driven contacts and different interlocutors, repeating the same explanations again and again, without ever really knowing who was handling our case or what was actually happening. Eventually, we managed to communicate with an actual human guide. The stress was enormous and completely unnecessary. Every new message created more uncertainty. Would we get Circuit 2? Would we have to accept Circuit 1? Would our visit be cancelled? What would happen to the rest of our itinerary and our expensive train journey immediately afterwards? And when you are travelling as a family of six, the financial and logistical consequences of any last-minute disruption are obviously considerable. This was happening during our family holiday, thousands of kilometres from home, only days before an experience that had been planned and confirmed more than three months earlier. That is perhaps the most frustrating part: we booked so far in advance precisely to avoid this kind of uncertainty and stress. Instead, Tripscape Travel's reservation problem became our family's problem, at the worst possible moment. We also subsequently discovered another recent Google review describing a remarkably similar experience with this operator: Circuit 2 booked months in advance and then changed shortly before the visit because of a “synchronization” issue. I cannot judge what happens with every Tripscape Travel reservation. I can only describe what happened to our family. But seeing another traveller independently report such a similar situation is something I would absolutely have wanted to know before booking. Machu Picchu is not an activity you can simply reorganize at the last minute, especially for a family or a larger group. A specific circuit, entrance time, trains, accommodation and the rest of a Peru itinerary can all be interconnected. A confirmed reservation should therefore mean something. Based on our experience, I would not trust Tripscape Travel with a booking where the exact circuit, date and time matter. And above all, I would not want another family to discover, only a few days before Machu Picchu, the same level of uncertainty, pressure and stress that we experienced.

SCAM

Booked a guided tour for circuit 2A in May 2026 for August 20 2026 and paid ~650$ (CAD). The tour was booked through GetYourGuide. On August 12 after we had already arrived in Peru we received an email that due to system error our tour had been changed to circuit 1. We tried every possible way to contact this company with zero response. Ultimately we decided we could no longer trust this company and cancelled the tour and received a refund from GetYourGuide. GetYourGuide then confirmed they had no record of our tour at all. We then had to scramble and purchase last minute tickets in person adding extra night stays, transportation changes and ultimately costing several hundreds of dollars and several days of stress. Luckily things worked out for us but this was a horrible situation please avoid this company and save yourself the headache.

Scam

Scam. We paid for a tour on getyourguide with this agency because we wanted to do circuit 2 of Machu Picchu. Once there, the agency gave us a ticket for circuit 1, which prevented us from doing circuit 2. If we had been informed of this change in advance, we would never have booked this tour. When we contacted the agency to dispute this situation and request a refund or a commercial gesture, we never received a response again. I strongly advise against this agency due to its lack of transparency and its total absence of after-sales service

Amazing tour

We had an amazing experience visiting Machu Picchu. Everything was very well organized, and the whole visit was truly unforgettable. A special thank you to our tour guide, **Juel Condori**, who was absolutely excellent. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and explained the history and significance of Machu Picchu in a way that made the experience even more fascinating. He also made sure we had enough time to enjoy the views and take photos. The entire experience was fantastic, and having such a great guide made it even more special. **Highly recommended, especially if you get Juel as your guide!**
