Circuit Jaisalmer de 3 jours depuis Jodhpur

I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in getting a sense of the Indian desert. Our driver Virendra was very knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting plants and animals on the drive from Jodhpur. On the first day we briefly stopped in Jaisalmer for lunch and then went on to the desert camp. Our tent was fairly comfortable with good electrical outlets and included a separate bathroom area with a toilet and shower. Our camel safari (2 hours) went to a sunset viewing area over the dunes. Our guide led the camel at a walk most of the way but then trotted us a short distance. The camp dinner included many Rajathani specialities, including sangri beans, and was entirely vegetarian. The dinner music and dance program climaxed with castanet players and a dancer balancing pots on her head while undulating. The second day focused on the Jaisalmer Fort and seeing the Jain temple and havelis within the fort. We had a separate guide for our fort walking tour; he brought us to a great viewing spot at a cafe at the top of the fort and a couple of good sweet shops. For sunset, we went to Gadisar Lake. Our Jaisalmer hotel, the Gulaal, also had a wonderful view of the fort. On the final day, we returned to Jodhpur and were back by 1pm. The main thing that I'll note is that the tour does not include sightseeing in Jodhpur even though it is mentioned in the Viator itinerary. We ended up seeing Mehrangarh Fort by ourselves, which is worth doing.

Do not hesitate, this is a once in a lifetime kinda trip. A great drive with Mahendre from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer, amazing accomodation in an anciet Haveli, then a short drive to the desert; blow mind camel walk/trot, sunset, amazing food and entertainment then a night sleeping outside under the stars. And all beyond affordable.
