What to say about South Korea and Japan? Only one thing: go there! We booked a 14 days tour to these amazing countries and we loved it. Everything was perfect, high class hotels, high speed trains (shinkansen with more than 300 km per hour) and more than 20 temples visited. Most we liked a lesson for trying to write in Japanese (believe me, it is not easy) and the Samurai and Ninja Museum in Osaka. Of course, also Seoul Sky Tower (445 meters high) and Tokyo Sky Tower (534 m this one) You have to try Korean and Japanese cuisine, so different from Europe Btw, there is no garbage bin except Starbucks.
My wife and I took this packed 9-Day Japan and South Korea Highlight Tour for our 30th year anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, as we were exposed to the culture, sites, and people of both countries in a short span of time. By the end of the tour though, we were both exhausted form all the long day activities and demand of the various individual tours and activities. Here are some of my observations related to this tour. 1. Th transfers to and from the airports to the hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul were all private in mint-condition vehicles, on-time, and well organized. 2. The hotels in Tokyo and Osaka were both good-quality, clean, and had good breakfasts in the mornings. The hotel in Soul was not as nice and was quite dated. 3. The daily tours were all nicely organized, and we enjoyed them very much. 4. The food tours were all good quality variations of the different types of meals, from restaurants to street food. 5. The 9-Day Japan and Korea Highlight Tour is advertised as a group tour. It is not a group tour with the same group throughout. It is actually a collection of daily itineraries and individual tours that you join different groups for the various activities. At times, getting to and from the tours could be a bit of a hassle, as you are mostly on your own to do those. And since you are with different people in different days or at different times, you do not make a strong connection to the different people you encounter in the tour. 6. Hong, our head tour guide, who developed and provided oversight and execution of our entire tour activities, was quite pleasant and willing to provide any help we needed remotely to get us feel welcome in the various tours or activities. We are highly appreciative of all his hard work in getting this multi-day tour arranged for us and looking after us (remotely) during the entire tour. 7. You need to be in a physically good condition in this tour, as you might walk for hours each day, or have long days for the different activities provided. Some days are quite long, such as the one you ride the KTX high-speed train from Seoul to Busan and (5 am till 11 pm) and having a full-day Busan tour in the middle. 8. You do not have much free time to do anything else that you might find interesting to participate. Overall, though, I highly recommend this 9-day Japan and Korea Highlight tour, if you only have a short time interval to visit both countries, and would like to immerse yourself to the culture, history, sites, people, and food from both countries, and if you do not mind the physical demand and some long days.
Hi Hamid, great thanks for your excellent review, that is so appreciated, the 9-day tour of Japan and South Korea, it is really a short time to experience so much. Wish to offer you the high quality tour experience again in the near future. Keep in touch.
The cruise was ok. a little side movement during the sailing. Food was good with Buffets. Drinks with meals were watery/full of ice and not good. the Mini Suite costing us $10064 dollars was waste of time. it is better to book a cheaper Balcony stateroom. Jeju Island tour was very badly managed. Departure was delayed by about 80 minutes by ships crew The bus ride to the volcano mount and Women pearl divers was not good at all. Were not able to walk up the mountain or see diving women because of the time constraint. The next was typical thatched roof visit to the Village. Only got two minutes to see the whole village. So we ended up staying in the bus with others. A five hour bus tour was without any meal or drink stop. Just saw the mountain and the houses of the Women divers. The whole trip was wasted. Paid the ships cruise desk $100 USD each and the people on the tour were very unhappy. the bus got bank to the ship just 30 minutes before sailing. The tour guide was really bad and kept talking non stop for 5 hours repeating same things about 10 times. She was telling us about her childhood growing and how they used to use their human waste for farm fertiliser mixed with pigs waste. I had to close my ears to get rid of her voice. Fine dining was ok but the entertainment offered was below standard except for the Lady singer. it was a Cherry blossom cruise but did not stop at any location to enjoy and photograph the flowering trees. Very disappointed with the Cruise by Princess cruises. Leaving the ship was ok as all the bags had been arranged by colour tags and Port porters were very good and free.
this is so weird, because about this tour, we didn't receive any booking until now. So how can we receive this review from you? Can you please double confirm the tour which you joined? thanks
