100% go to Uyuni, 100% do NOT book this

Tl;dr Tour was great but this is a needlessly expensive and just kinda worse way to book, DO NOT BOOK THIS TRIP: 1. This is just way more expensive than other options, if you're in La Paz there's a million tour agencies you can book through for much much cheaper even on a day's notice. 2. Book your own bus to/from La Paz and Uyuni. It's easy, way cheaper, and you can get a better bus company. This one did not have working wifi, no snacks or blankets as listed, and my seat didn't recline on the way back. Book Todo Turismo and enjoy a much better (and cheaper than this booking) bus experience. 3. You are paying for entry fees through here, which sounds convenient, but if anything you are pre-paying for is inaccessible (very likely, which is totally fine as the alternatives are also great!) you will have just paid for something you didn't get. Other tour options you pay your own entry fees and they'll outline them for you ahead of time. If you can't do something because of the weather, you keep your money! 4. The actual tour was with a different company than manages this post, which means that there's another unnecessary layer of communication and obfuscation since your guides in the flats and desserts don't actually work for the company you paid for. 5. The accommodations sorted by this company are just worse than the company that runs your tour. Very frustrating watching everyone else get rooms with bathrooms and towels and having to pay extra (not advertised in the listing!) if you want a towel or to use a shower. Our guides were great I think the company that actually ran our tour was like andes salt tours or something. This listing is about double what pretty much everyone else on my tour paid (and, again, they got better accommodations in the same hostels we stayed at! And better buses from Uyuni to La Paz!) my advice is to book in La Paz in person, book your own buses, etc. it sounds intimidating but it's so easy and so much cheaper. The views were incredible and I definitely recommend going to Uyuni! Only heads up is that days 2 and 3 are a LOT of driving, you are mostly in the desert and mountains which are great, but if you just want the salt flats, a 1 day tour will be what you want.

Standard all inclusive Uyuni experiences, not the most luxurious one, but the experiences are great

Overall speaking, the experience is good. The overnight bus to and from Uyuni is great and comfy out of my expectation. The salt flat is of course the major highlight, but sad that it is not yet the rainy season that we cannot see the wet flat with mirror like surface. The lagoons with flamingos, geysers and hot springs are all great, but just a little bit too far. The 2 nights of hostel accommodation is more than I expect. Although it is very basic with shared toilets and paid showers, but the warmth and cleanliness at such remote places are more than I can ask for. At this season, the sleeping bag is not really required. All food are just simple and standard, cannot expect too much though. The car is a bit crowded with 5 guests, 1 guide and 1 driver, particularly in such a long-drive trip on rough terrain. Got to mention the problem of the car engine, which is unexpected. Both the guide and the driver did their best to repair and ensure safety, but it took us more than 4 hours of waiting in total on both days. Can understand the unexpected accidents, but it raises the concern of backend support. What if the car completely broke down that it cannot be repaired to proceed, passengers will then be left in nowhere of the wilderness which is exposed to great risks and dangers. I guess that issue has to be attended to in future as the tour after all involves a very remote area. The guide Gus is a very active, positive and energetic one, which helps keep the energy of the group. The driver is also hardworking and helpful, keep repairing and working on the car even when we are resting or eating. The only bad experience I have to mention is the office staff. Before the trip when we were communicating over texting messages, I have raised some questions to clarify some understandings as I know no details about the trip, Uyuni and logistics arrangement. However, the staff replied very rudely that she asked me to read the information on my own and grumbled that everything have been working smoothly so far in the past and don’t understand why I would have questions. This kind of working attitude is obviously not up to any standard of customer services. I still keep the dialogues, I can send to the operator for follow-up if needed.

Unforgettable 3 Day Tour

An amazing experience from start to finish. The landscapes were surreal — salt flats, colorful lagoons, and flamingos everywhere. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable, and everything was well organized. Comfortable stays, great food, and perfect photo spots every day. Truly one of the best adventures in South America!

Comprehensive Tour of the Salt Flats

Highly recommended. While the logistics at the start & end are a little confusing, as you're essentially being passed around by multiple tour operators to get to & from Uyuni, before you actually start, the tour itself is well paced, well guided & you get to see an awful lot of Bolivia. The Salt Flats are incredible, the coloured lagoons were also amazing, with plenty of flamingoes to be seen. We were advised to purchase sleeping bags at the start for an additional cost, however at both overnight stops, the bedding was adequate & warm enough, such that we did not need them. Our guide was knowledgeable, the food & meals were hearty & filling & we met some other fun travellers in our group.

Expect the worst

Simply put,the worst. 5200Bs for two people yet 80Bs for our “hotel” that was a construction site of a hostel. Food for the entire trip of 3 days rotting in the back of the car. No heating in the hotel despite -5 degrees at night.
