Randonnée aux Cinque Terre depuis la gare de La Spezia

Description

Igna was a superb guide and the scenery was wonderful. This is a must do when visiting northern Italy. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
We had done a walking tour 5 years ago and had an amazing time. This time, all the guide did was take us by train to each village and that was it. We got almost no information about the history and why each town was significant - just said at arrival of each town, meet in an hour and left us to it. We could have done that ourselves. A complete waste of money
Buy the tour at the mate de luca hotel to avoid any problems. It was really bad, they didn't put a guide on, just an accompanying person who didn't explain anything, didn't look at it. Please let us know which train to take. Money was thrown away. Don't buy from this agency to avoid having to pay a lot and have nothing. Hotel is not responsible for this.
This area is quite beautiful as everyone knows, but the hiking tour gives you a different and wonderful perspective. The walk is a real hike, so be prepared with proper hiking shoes, light pack and lots of water during the summer. There are a lot of steep climbs and descents, and some loose ground so I would recommend for fit or people with some hiking experience. I mention all of this because we had members oin our tour group who were of the impression this would be a short walk on flat or well prepared walk tracks. This is neither and they found it very difficult, some left mid tour (which cannot always be arranged) and said they would not have taken the hike had they realised in advance. For us, a family group including three young teenagers, we loved the experience and completed it without incident. The views were breathtaking and the countryside beautiful. It gives you a great feel for the experience of those who live there and those who built the area hundreds of years ago. They must have been part mountain goat! Our tour guide Sabrina was very caring, thoughtful and patient with all that was thrown at her with our mixed group, gave those who struggled lots of time and breaks and even had some electrolytes on hand. Her explanations of the different areas were very informative. She also provided us with tips for the rest of our stay which were excellent. She even messaged us with more details and checked on us. Amazing. I should note that Sabrina warned, and re-warned the group of what they would face and suggested they take the bus between towns which was advisable. In retrospect a walk tour instead of a hiking tour would have been a better choice for some in our group. Our strong recommendation is to take this or similar hiking tour of this beautiful area. It is a wonderful and unique experience. Subject to the above warnings you will be so pleased that you did!
This was a great tour!! Our guide, Sabrina, was so knowledgeable about the area and brought us to the best spots for hiking and sightseeing. It was a great relief to have someone that was familiar with the area since there was a large crowd in the towns. It made the whole tour so much more enjoyable to not deal with the crowds on our own. The hiking was a little more than we had bargained for and we were exhausted by the end of the day. Sabrina tailored the tour to everyone's needs and what they wanted out of the day. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone that has a limited amount of time to spend in the area!!
I loved this tour! Luca was a fantastic tour guide and treated everyone like family. We had ample time to spend in Vernazza, Monterosso (where we got to taste limoncello), and Riomaggiore. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and each village had its own charm. I only wish the tour had included Manarola, but luckily it’s very easy to take the Cinque Terre Express train and explore it on your own.
We had only a day to visit Cinque Terre (and for us, that was perfect amount of time). It was really helpful to have a guide so we knew highlights of each village.
In August we planned to hike mile up a steep, very interesting, educational tour in excellent body-mind combination. Giuliano perfect guide, perfect physical shape, he is very prepared. I recommend it
