This is an area not to be missed, and this tour gives you most of the villages. Our guide was excellent and keeping us in the shade and pointing out things and giving us enough time at each village. People should know that they have to walk 30 minutes to the train station where a taxi would be about €15. Although it’s a nice walk, I would suggest probably sharing a taxi and taking that ride to and from the train station. There is plenty of walking on the trip. The train was efficient and clean. Be ready for a beautiful experience, but don’t expect it not to be hot and quite busy. Our guide navigated how and which villages to see first to avoid too many tourists. I would also suggest bringing a bathing suit and jumping in to cool down. The food is quite good in the villages, especially the fried calamari. The gelato is fantastic.

Matteo was a great guide! He was very informative, provided a lot of information about each town, and made sure we got from location to location seamlessly. The towns are gorgeous, definitely recommend. I would keep in mind that there is a 25-30 min walk to and from the train station to the cruise port.

Tizanna was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and caring. Most of the tourist in our group was Spanish speaking and e were the only 2 who spoke English. She had made sure she translated what she spoke in Spanish to English to us. The locations we visited were all so beautiful make sure you take tour to see them all.

Tiziana was a fabulous tour guide. She was excellent moving the group through train stations, exceptional on local stories, and a pleasant and kind person. I strongly recommend Tiziana.
Fantastic trip to four of the Cinque a Terre villages. Great information from our guide Linda. A really great way to see this beautiful part of Italy. Arrived back to our cruise ship in plenty of time. Beautiful scenery and great information and recommendations from our guide.

Have comfortable shoes on, lots of walking and steep inclines. Guide was very good and managed us well across busy stations and towns in large crowds.

Very well organised and just enough free time to see what you need to see in each town, you even have time for a swim at Monterosso al Mare.

Excellent experience, trains are punctual and available very often, the best way to visit and stop for as long as needed

Tour was really just a guide to the trains from town to town. Did not escort you once off trains in villages. Little info given. Gave too much free time at 3rd village and missed train and didn’t make it to 4th village. People were lost on the train and expected to run in the heat to train. Better off doing train pass on your own.

The tour started with a 30 minute walk from the cruise ship terminal to the train station. It was hot and I have a bad ankle, so we decided to take a taxi. The hop on hop off bus said they would take us and others there for 10 euro each, and said our ticket was good all day. When we got to the station we didn't know where to meet! We found our guide and boarded the train. There were 4 stops where we got off, had a 5 minute orientation and sometimes a little walk, and then we were on our own to explore for an hour or so. The guide said we were supposed to have headphones but that person didn't show up. So I don't know if we would have more tour or not. I would recommend you could do the trip on your own; however you would have to plan the times and research each town on where to go.
