⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience visiting Chichen Itza, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing tour guides, Carlos G and Wilbert! Carlos G’s energy, passion, and knowledge about the Mayan civilization were truly outstanding. You can immediately tell how much he loves what he does. His enthusiasm for Mayan history is contagious, and as a history buff myself, I found his theories and insights fascinating definitely thought-provoking and far from impossible! He brought the ruins to life in a way that made the entire experience unforgettable. I also want to commend Carlos for his patience and dedication with our group. Managing a large group isn’t easy, yet he remained engaging, professional, and attentive throughout the entire tour. A special shout-out to our bus driver Wilbert as well for helping make this experience smooth, and memorable. And please, if you have Carlos G and Wilbert as your guides, consider tipping them. While it’s completely optional, if you truly appreciate the incredible experience they provide, showing your gratitude through a tip is a wonderful way to support them and recognize their hard work. Carlos G, please don’t ever change. Your passion shines through, and it made all the difference. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and making our visit to Chichen Itza so special!
Guide was excellent, very knowledgable overall amazing day
This experience was AMAZING - our guide, Beto, was knowledgeable and humorous - we learned so much about Mayan culture while also having time to explore on our own
This was an amazing tour from beginning to end. We were picked up in the lobby of our hotel and taken to the bus where we met Alberto (Beto), Carmeno, and Wilburt. All three of these gentlemen do their job very well. We were served a tasty breakfast on our ride to Chichen Itza and entertained by Beto in a respectful cultural lesson. We were provided a comfort stop at a very clean restroom before we arrived at the pyramid. We were walked straight in without having to wait in line because our tickets were bought in advance. Our guide was Beto and he was a fountain of knowledge but also shared it in a fun way. He went out of his way to include everyone in the group in his talks and takes fabulous pictures if you ask him. After the pyramid we had an awesome lunch at an authentic Mayan buffet with traditional entertainment. Next we went to a cenote for a refreshing swim with more clean restrooms and changing rooms. Lastly we stopped in a beautiful city and were given some time to explore a traditional church and city square. Beto has ALOT of knowledge and is extremely friendly. Carmeno goes out of his way to make sure that everyone has plenty to drink and is comfortable. Wilburt is a safe driver and we never felt uncomfortable even though it rained all day, sometimes very hard. If you want an incredible experience with a fantastic group of gentlemen, this is definitely the tour for you.
My sister and I had such a wonderful day with this tour company. Be prepared for a very long day! We were picked up at 7am and dropped off at 8:30pm. Our tour guide was Carmona and he was awesome! He was knowledgeable, fun, and made sure to keep us entertained! Seeing the ruins and learning about the Mayans was incredible. It was HOT, so when we finally got to the cenote, it felt so good to jump into the water. The cenote was GORGEOUS! Set on a really beautiful property with fun tequila tasting (buy the coffee one, it was the best!). We stopped for lunch at this really cool buffet with shopping and photo spots available. They took our picture and put in on a bottle of Mezcal as a souvenir. Cost was about $30 USD and was a cool way to remember the trip. My only caution is to be careful when shopping in the store. The workers follow you around, ask if you speak English, and create invoices for you. My sister overheard when of the workers telling another to charge more. I bought 3 items, the Mayan "name" offered by our tour guide which was $35 USD, an Ornament that was $22 USD, and a magnet that I forgot to get the price for and walked out spending $86 USD. Meaning, they charged me $29 for a magnet. It was such a wonderful trip, and this felt like a huge turn off. It made me wonder if we were getting scammed every where that we were buying gifts and we actually stopped for the rest of the trip. This isn't at the fault of the tour operator, but I'm leaving this feedback hoping they pass it over to their partners at this location. Also, want to make sure future customers are cautious of this and check the prices before you cash out.
The tour description said this tour would be on a bus with a restroom. It was in a van with no restroom, or legroom either. It was extremely uncomfortable. The tour description also leaves out that the first two hours of your tour and the last two hours will be spent picking up and dropping off other guests (potentially while cramped in a very uncomfortable van). The tour guide was entertaining, if not completely historically accurate, and the sites visited were interesting. If the tour description had been accurate, I would not have selected this tour.
It was one of the best tour we did. Mr. Alberto(BETO) was great. He is very knowledgeable about Chichen Itza and Mayan history. My favourite thing was he is very passionate and proud about explaining everything in detail about his culture and history. We had good enough time to explore around and shop. Two meals were provided so we didn't need to stress about breakfast at 7 am. According to me, this whole tour wouldn't have been the same fun if our guide weren't Mr. Beto. Thank you for amazing day and teaching us Mayan culture and a little language. Yum Bootik
Had a wonderful private tour. Beto was an amazing tour guide who happily shared with us cultural insights, history; all while telling great jokes. He took us around Chichen Itza, a wonderful Mayan commune run restaurant, Salve Maya Cenote and more. They took us to meet the locals and experience their ways of living. The driver Ernesto also was very professional and a gentleman. Between wonderful tour guide, driver, and other people they introduced to us along the way, they helped us feel the passion they hold so dearly.
It was awesome! Carlos, Mike and Gustavo were fantastic.
This tour was great, it was a long day (13.5 hours from Paradisus resort), but I would highly recommend it. Our tour guide Beto was awesome, he was well-researched, funny and passionate about Chichen Itza. He had awesome information that really improved our experience.
