Our guide, Fernando, did a great job managing a group of eight. The hike itself is a good balance of being challenging enough to test the limits of your endurance while leaving a bit of mental and physical powers to enjoy the views. Porters and chefs are the unsung heroes of the hike
Fernando was our guide, and he was amazing. Enlightened the tough times to make them seem easier. Very knowledgeable and fun. The food was delicious. And the porter services were unbelievable.
This was a truly memorable experience led by Jose' and his team of wonderful porters. Everything was fantastic and all details were handled by Jose' and the Quechuas Team. What sets this company apart is the attention to detail and personal care that they offer for the 4-day Classic Hike. I was joined by my wife so we had a lot of personal care and attention over the course of the hike. The food was also excellent and the camping experience was extra special with waking up to spectacular views after a good night's rest. Thank you again to Jose' and the team and we hope to see you again soon.
We just arrived from the 4 day hike along the Inca Trail with Quechuas Expeditions and my family quite liked the organization of the trekking, from the communication before the trip to the moment we arrived at Machu Picchu. We met Peru for the first time and celebrated a birthday with our guides at the camp. 100% recommend this travel agency in Cusco.
We traveled the Classic Inca Trail in January with a small group of friends, and we truly loved the entire experience. The trail itself was incredible, and having a guide who supported us throughout the journey made all the difference. Over the four days, everything was well organized, punctual, and handled with great professionalism. We came away with a wonderful impression of Cusco and the magical city of Machu Picchu. We would be happy to travel with you again in the future. Thank you very much, Quechuas Expeditions.
I spent several months preparing for my trip to Cusco, and I was recommended Quechuas Expeditions because they are a Peru tour operator that works with local guides, so I decided to travel with them! It turned out to be the right choice. I felt supported at all times thanks to the professionalism and warmth of the guides. I would definitely travel with them again to explore other destinations in Peru.
We had a great time hiking the Inca Trail with Quechuas Expeditions. It is a tough hike but well worth it for the views! Our guide Fernando was very experienced and helped make the trip unforgettable. Chef Armando cooked amazing lunches and dinners and it was nice to try out all the different Peruvian cuisine, and the porters were all friendly and willing to help however they could. Fernando also kept in contact to make sure we made it through the bus / train / taxi rides back to Cusco which is a nice touch.
I went with my partner and had little hiking experience and it was still an amazing time. Our guide, Fernando, shared a lot of his knowledge about the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. He was also very patient and kind. The chef, Armando, cooked delicious three meals a day and provided snacks. The porters were accommodating and carried around 10 lbs of our bags to make the hike easier for us and set up, broke down camp every day. Truly a trip of a life time!
We just completed the 4-day Inca Trail hike with Quechuas Expeditions, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Every detail was handled perfectly — from the pre-trip communication to the moment we reached Machu Picchu. Our guide Fernando was exceptional. His deep knowledge of Inca history, genuine care for every hiker, and constant positivity made even the toughest climbs enjoyable. He balanced professionalism with humor, motivating us when the altitude kicked in and ensuring everyone felt supported and safe. A special shoutout to Chef Armando, who somehow produced restaurant-quality meals on a mountainside! Every meal was beautifully presented, nutritious, and delicious — we still can’t believe what came out of that tiny kitchen tent. They even surprised my friend with an actual birthday cake cooked in a stove pot. Just incredible! And of course, the porters — absolute heroes. Watching their strength, efficiency, and kindness in action was humbling. They set up and broke down camp seamlessly and always greeted us with smiles. Their hard work made the entire trek feel comfortable and worry-free. If you’re considering the Inca Trail, don’t hesitate to book with Quechuas Expeditions. We can’t recommend it enough!
We participated in a private tour, there were three in our group, my husband, myself and my nephew. Belmont our tour guide took care of us from the orientation phone call the night before to an excellent restaurant recommendation at the end, and everything in between. The porters were supportive and the cook made amazing food that rivaled any restaurant we visited in Peru. From an equipment point of view, their website isn't lying, excellent tents, sleeping mats and sleeping bags.
