Firstly he is not German, not fluent in English and we had difficulty understanding him. When he did speak clearly he only gave superficial information. It was supposed to be a custom tour, but he seemed to have difficulty navigating the area and insisted that we go to sites we asked to skip. He became angry when we were not interested ingesting out to see something we already visited or asked to skip. We were visiting a German friend and he became angry when she talked about anything related to Germany on the trip. He would get angry, say there is only 1 tour guide - then storm off and smoke cigarettes. The taxi reeked like smoke. He was very unprofessional and inappropriate. Skip this one - a big waste of time and money.
Dear Miss Jackson, Thank you for sharing your "feedback". We're sorry that the tour didn't meet your expectations. What is your Fantasie / Vision of Real German? Are you a real American? Who is a real American? Who can decide to be real or not to be real? Your grammar and writing also look unlike a "real" American or English. We want to clarify some essential aspects of your experience. The main challenge occurred when your German friend, whom you hadn't seen in a long time, joined as an extra passenger. While we were happy to accommodate this "last minute request" (even without having the politeness to ask us!), the tour shifted towards catching up with your friend rather than following the carefully planned itinerary we agreed upon in the morning. It was not OK for a friend to mess with the scheduled route, where we tell our stories and history. What we agreed on together in the morning. If you have 15 stops in 3 hours, you cannot use 1 hour at the second stop. We believe your friend, though well-intentioned, took on the role of an unofficial guide, disrupting the tour's structure and making it difficult/impossible for our DIN EN 15565-certified guide to deliver the custom experience we had planned for you. While we respect your friend's knowledge of Düsseldorf, our guide is an experienced professional who knows Berlin thoroughly and has received high praise from many guests, including native Germans, as seen in our excellent reviews. Yes, you are right—our guide was not blonde or wearing traditional Lederhosen. However, his qualifications, knowledge, and experience are what truly matter. It also seems there may have been a communication issue during the tour. We believe it's harder to understand the guide's explanations if you're not actively listening. Our guide carefully plans his stories to be shared at suitable locations, ensuring an efficient and enjoyable experience. Additionally, did you notice that Berlin is preparing for the Europa Cup 2024? Several roads were closed or blocked, making traffic more challenging than usual. Despite this, our guide went above and beyond to accommodate the requested changes, adjusting the updated route in the morning based on your preferences and what you had already seen. While we strive to be flexible, even a tailor-made tour requires structure and timing to cover all the highlights, especially given the traffic situation. After all, our minivan is not a helicopter that can jump over the buildings! Regarding the comment about the smell of smoke in the vehicle, all our minivans are strictly smoke-free. Any smoke you noticed may have come from outside the vehicle at the Checkpoint Charly break, where many smokers are. Otherwise, is it the smoke from WW2 you smelt:) We regret that the tour didn't go as planned, but we hope you understand that the combination of traffic disruptions and an unofficial "second guide" complicated the experience. Thank you for your feedback. We also had a bad experience and would never want a repeat for any money, like this experience with you. We'll take steps to avoid such situations in the future by directly stopping the tour when it is impossible to guide the tour. With regards
Levi was a fantastic guide. Extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history of Berlin. This was a great way to spend our first afternoon in Berlin. The minivan was very comfortable and clean.
It's great to know that you found the minivan comfortable and clean and a pleasant journey. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback, and if you return, the Berlin excursions team will be delighted to assist you again! Greetings to the Family from Berlin
We had an excellent private tour in a comfortable minivan with Hans and his driver. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Berlin and its history. We saw parts of Berlin we would have otherwise missed and were very happy with the experience. Highly recommend taking this tour!
Thank you for taking the time to write such kind words in your review.
It was awesome experience. Nice information shared by the tour guide. He is very friendly person. And was very committed on the time
Thanks a lot for your beautiful words and time to write this review hoop to see you with the Family back in Berlin. I also had fun guiding you, but it was too short to cover berlin outside the highlights, just the introduction to Berlin :) Last-minute bookings are possible. To make the reservation a few days before we can even do better. Thanks a Lot, Greetings from Berlin Excursions Team
Levi was knowledgeable and gracious. We covered much of Berlin’s historical locations and had great conversation along the way. A good investment if you only have a few days in Berlin and want to cover the highlights.
Thank you for your kind words! It's always wonderful to have enthusiastic guests like you. I'm glad you appreciate our goal of providing a pleasant Berlin experience. Greetings to your husband, and hopefully, a more extended conversation in the future. The first time we were too busy with Berlin's Historical highlights.
I recently traveled to Berlin for work. I had the afternoon off after my last meeting, so I hired Levi to show me around, and I am so glad that I did. I booked the tour online, then I had to message Levi to ask that the tour start at 2pm, after my meeting was over, and not at noon as was stated in the tour description. Levi responded within 10 minutes and told me it would not be a problem at all. Then, one week before my trip, my colleagues were looking for a tour guide to lead us to our team dinner and give us highlights along the way, but because the tour would be short (one hour) and there was no flexibility on the day and time we needed it, my coworkers were not having any luck finding a guide. I thought of Levi and asked him if he could help us out. Again, he responded quickly that he would be happy to assist. He showed up early and walked my group of 30 colleagues to the restaurant not quite two miles away. He also stopped us at key points and provided insights into what we were seeing, and he got us to dinner on time. My colleagues were so pleased and the evening was a success. Two days later, Levi provided the private tour for me and one other coworker I invited along. The tour by itself would rate five stars, as Levi is incredibly knowledgeable of Berlin and its history. But the day of the tour happened to be the same day that King Charles and Camilla were visiting Berlin, and that meant road blocks and traffic nightmares at the end of our tour, when the last thing we had to see was the Brandenburg Gate. My coworker and I were assuring Levi that it would be okay if we missed seeing the gate given the traffic, but Levi was determined that we not miss this important icon. I was so impressed with the confidence and doggedness of Levi and his driver as they maneuvered us through the traffic jams - and they managed to get us one block up from the Brandenburg Gate. We jumped out of the vehicle, headed to the gate on foot, and found ourselves at the front of the pack waiting to see Charles drive by on his way back to the hotel. Of course we stopped, hoping to catch a glimpse of Charles, and we did! Not only did we see all the important sights in Berlin, but we saw the British monarch as well! It was an afternoon I won't ever forget, and it was Levi's resourcefulness and tenacity that made it happen.
Thanks, always our guests are the king, queen, prince and princes for us. Thanks a lot; you gave your time and energy to write those beautiful words in the sentences. Undoubtedly, you earn the Nobel prize for reviews for Berlin excursions. Greetings from Berlin excursion Team;)
Hi berlin excursions, thanks. My family and I enjoyed the Tour, the organization, support and flexibility before the Tour. For friendly, informative guidance, Deniz showed us a lot of Berlin while Hans drove us safely in his clean and comfortable Minivan. I enjoyed learning about Berlin's history and all the highlights and other sights not mentioned in the tour program. We will strongly advise every small group on your excellent minivan tour to start the Berlin visit.

We had an amazing sightseeing tour with Levent. Great sights, perfect service! Highly recommendable!
Thank you very much, Michael; happy guests; are our motivation for all Berlin Excursions. See you again soon in Berlin.
Our guide, Levent was extremely excited and passionate about Berlin! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour tour!! Picked up and returned to our hotel with so much knowledge. He gave us opportunities to ask questions and we were able to hop out and walk more than we expected… which was nice. We were in a very nice vehicle and were provided with water and candy. I’m writing this while still in Berlin and have returned to several stops and extended our sightseeing. Great service!!
Thank you very much! You are always welcome, and I would not be surprised if you moved to Berlin. It was a pleasant experience for me to guide you. Let me know if I can do something for your integration into Berlin for you or your friend:) Greetings from Berlin
Levi was a warm hearted gentleman. His English wasn't perfect but good enough for our tour. He recommended we do the rickshaw ride to see all the interesting sites of Berlin and that was an suggestion. We were able to weave through the busiest parts of Berlin in just 3 to 4 hours. The ride was comfortable and enjoyable. If you don't like to walk to do too much physical work then this is the tour for you.
Thank you very much for your words and trust in me. I hope you also enjoyed futurism and Amsterdam. I wish you and your sons a lot of Health and Strength. Greeting from Berlin
