Cette visite culinaire et historique vous permettra de garder l’eau à la bouche , veuillez noter que ce sont des tailles d’échantillons pour avoir des goûts de la nourriture et n’est pas nécessairement un repas complet selon votre appétit. Au cours de la visite, vous apprendrez toutes sortes de choses sur l'histoire de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard, sa nourriture et l'histoire de ses différents aliments et pourquoi chaque plat est important pour les insulaires. Vous goûterez certains des plats bien connus de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard dans certains de ses meilleurs restaurants. À la fin de la visite, vous serez « bousculé » et deviendrez un Islander honoraire. Des substituts alimentaires dus à des allergies etc. peuvent être disponibles mais les demandes doivent être faites à l'avance . *Veuillez également noter que l'arrêt Water Prince Corner Shop peut être fait à certains moments comme arrêt de style pique-nique/plat à emporter en raison de la taille et de l'activité du restaurant. »

Itinéraire
Au bord de l'eau, nous parlerons de l'histoire générale ainsi que de la façon dont différentes cultures ont utilisé différents aliments.
Nous passerons ensuite un peu de temps sur Great George pour en apprendre davantage sur ses nombreuses attractions historiques telles que le Great George Hotel et la basilique Saint-Dunstan
Notre premier arrêt sera au Peake's Restaurant & Bar où nous dégusterons quelques moules avec une sauce qui comprend du vin blanc, de la crème, des oignons, du céleri, des herbes, du beurre. manger vous apprendrez tout sur les moules.
Nous allons maintenant parler de Province House et surtout de la Conférence de Charlottetown de 1864 qui s'est tenue ici en 1864 pour discuter de la possibilité de créer un nouveau pays.
Notre prochain arrêt alimentaire aura lieu dans ce qui est considéré comme l'un des meilleurs restaurants de Charlottetown et de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard, soit Water Prince Corner Shop. Ici, nous aurons un échantillon de taille d'un Lobster Roll (moitié ) , un peu de Salade de Pommes de Terre et goûter quelques pétoncles . Ici, nous parlerons de l'industrie de la pomme de terre / élevage à l'Î.-P.-É. , certains de l'industrie du homard à l'Î.-P.-É., et les pétoncles . *Veuillez noter que cet arrêt peut être fait à temps comme style de pique-nique / emporter en raison de la taille et de l'activité du restaurant
Notre arrêt final sera à Lobster on the Wharf qui est situé juste sur le front de mer et à proximité de l'endroit où nous avons commencé la tournée. Tout d'abord nous visiterons la Lobster Pound pour en savoir plus sur les Homards . (veuillez noter que la Lobster Pound peut ne pas toujours être ouverte , si c'est le cas nous irons directement au Restaurant ). Une fois que nous avons terminé dans la fourrière de homard, nous nous dirigerons vers le côté Restaurant où vous apprendrez sur l'industrie ostréicole à l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard alors vous serez officiellement baisé en huîtrant une huître (nue et crue qui est la façon traditionnelle sur l'Î.-P.-É.) et en prenant une photo de PEI Moonshine ( de l'eau ou des boissons gazeuses sont également disponibles . Nous pouvons également prendre votre photo ou vidéo de vous en train de huîtres . Ici, vous recevrez également un chocolat Anne ou une friandise similaire.

Our guide was great! Super knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of Charlottetown. Would totally recommend! Food was good too!
We are so glad we took this tour! Charlottetown has so much history behind it and our guide made it especially nice with his personal touches about his experience living on PEI since childhood.
This was a great tour. Ken was a historian and was interesting. His personal stories were informative and provided a good viewpoint on the region's history. However the rain he said was not going to come, CAME!!😊. He's no weatherman. It was a great tour and we enjoyed it. We would recommend Ken to anyone looking for a tour guide.
The tour was amazing. Our guide (Carolyn) gave a lot of details about the rich history of PEI and the origins of Canada’s Confederation, while walking to several points of interest. The food was fantastic. We really enjoyed it. NOTE: it is better to do this on the 1st day you are in Charlottetown, as you will know all the fantastic restaurants to go to!
Awesome tour. Our guide Caroline was a wealth of historical knowledge. It was cool to learn that our country came to be after the provincial delegates drank too much so much so that they came to an agreement. Oh yeah, the food. A great taste of island cuisine. I read someone else’s review commenting that there was not enough food. It’s supposed to be a taste of island cuisine which it is. We ended up going back to one of our stops later in the day to grab dinner. If you are expecting to strap on a feed bag and get stuffed then find a buffet. If you are looking for some culture, history and a taste then you gotta take this tour.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable with the history of Charlottetown as well as the food served to the group of nine. She was very personable. I enjoyed the whole tour.
The Charlottetown Food Walking Tour was an excellent blend of history and food. Our guide, Carolyn is very knowledgeable and she filled us in on the history of PEI, the city of Charlottetown, the Charlottetown conference and PEI's role in the formation of Canada. She presented the information in an interesting way and was able to handle all of our questions. The tour covered about a mile of walking and was interspersed with three food stops, one for mussels, one for a lobster roll, and the final stop for oysters. If you like seafood, this is a tour for you. The food was excellent (I'm not an oyster fan but we got through it OK) but the mussels and lobster roll were really good. My only comment to complete the tour would be to add an ice cream stop at the very end. All in all we really enjoyed our tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to sample good seafood and learn a bit about the history of PEI.
My wife and I had the pleasure of being led by Mark today in and around Charlottetown. His knowledge and love of all things re this city; this province was on full display. His detailed talk was punctuated by stops at three quality restaurants. Thanks again Mark from D&K from Markham ON.

Was cancelled very late the evening before. Didn’t see the message until an hour before the activity was to happen the next morning. . Needless to say it didn’t happen and it was our only day in Charlottetown. Very disappointing.
I understand your frustration and I do apologize that it was last minute . But I did send you your refund and some options to reschedule and also some other options for things for you to do instead . Although you did forget to mention why it was cancelled . I had to cancel last minute as the guide doing the tour had to visit someone who was nearing the end of their life and had asked for the guide to visit them in Hospital (and has since passed away) . My other guides were already on tour and one who was off island for a medial appointment. I was also on a tour so unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it work . Like I said I’m sorry that you didn’t get to experience the tour . I hope you enjoyed our beautiful island . Josh
