L'Arche de Charents est située près d'Erevan, entre le temple païen de Garni et le complexe du monastère chrétien de Geghard, dans le village de Vokhchaberd.
Le temple païen de Garni a été construit dans la seconde moitié du Ier siècle par le roi Trdat III. C'est le seul temple païen conservé sur le territoire de l'Arménie.
Le monument est constitué d’immenses colonnes de basalte hexagonales et pentagonales paradoxalement symétriques (près de 50 mètres de haut).
Le monastère de Geghard est l'une des plus grandes structures architecturales médiévales d'Arménie. Geghard est entièrement creusé dans une grotte, on l'appelle aussi « monastère troglodytique ».
Le complexe monastique Sevanavank est situé sur la péninsule de Sevan. En 305, elle fut fondée par saint Grégoire l'Illuminateur, qui construisit l'église sur l'emplacement d'un temple païen.

Great tour! Everything was very well organized, managed to see many beautiful places of Armenia, including the stunning Lake Sevan. Special thanks to our driver Arshack - a real professional! The tour of Armenia left just incredible impressions! The route is perfectly conceived, from the grandeur of the pagan Garni to the mystical atmosphere of the rock monastery of Gegard. The real visual delight was the Symphony of Stones - these natural basalt columns look just alien. And ending the day in azure Sevan with its fresh air was the perfect point in the journey. Listening to it is a pleasure: the information is presented easily, with interesting facts and a great sense of humor. Excellent worth visiting . Especially in winter with snow this have fantastic views. Really worth for site seeing . But site seeing during winter caution to be made for wearing proper winter clothes. There is a best restaurant in front of Garni Temple “Vitrage” worth having food.

Today we were on an individual tour: Arch of Charentz, Temple of Garni, Symphony of Stones or Gorge of Garni, Monastery complex Gegard. We really enjoyed it. And the weather was lucky, it was cloudy, but still managed to admire Ararat through the Charentz Arch. Very comfortable tour duration - 4 hours, what you need for a tour with a child.
