Chacaltaya et la vallée de la lune
Description
Le voyage que nous avons fait consiste à garder de beaux souvenirs de la montagne Chacaltaya qui a facilité son ascension, nous aventurant dans l’altitude jusqu’à atteindre le sommet supérieur à 5400 msnm. Arrivés, une fois arrivés, nous sentirons que nous avons atteint un endroit comme la Lune avec d’incroyables formations de la Terre érodée.

Itinéraire
La montagne Chacaltaya culmine à 5300 mètres d'altitude. Nous effectuons un circuit où nous pouvons les transporter dans une certaine partie de la montagne avec mobilité, puis nous marchons pour avoir une vue magnifique sur la ville de La Paz et sur l'Altiplano bolivien.
La vallée de la lune est au sud de la ville, où nous marchons dans les formations de vent que l'on a l'impression d'être sur la lune.

Nice guide, even though he die not tell too much information about places. Lots of sitting in the car and bumpy ride, but very much worth it.
If you want to feel the high mountain,but at the same time you don't want to hike much,thats the tour for you. And our Gabriel made sure tour was amazing. Very knowledgeable,friendly and professional +very good English. Good job!
We had a wonderful day with Buhos Tours! They were even 10 minutes early at the pick up spot. Our small group of 6 had a fantastic time and our guide Juan as well as the driver were very professional, friendly, and explained everything perfectly. Juan shared details about the landscape and things to do and see. We took frequent breaks and stops along the way to take pictures. Definitely recommend booking with them.

I had a good experience from buying the tour to Chacaltaya and Valle de la Luna to the tour itself. It was worth seeing a little more of the surroundings of La Paz.
You travel with a very small local private bus (not 4x4) over a Death-road to the top of 5000 meters. There is only a space of 0,5 meters between the bus and the abyss of 200 meters. thrillseekers from all over the world come to this place to have this thrilling adventure ! The road is very rocky so you get your massage for free ! When you arrive at the abandoned ski resort you have to climb 400 meters more on a steep hill, so adventure again ! We loved this trip 🤛🏻

I saw many comments saying that it is dangerous that the road is bad, but I did not see anything of this, it was the best tour we have done in our 20 days of Bolivia, can go without fear, the car leaves you 200 meters from the summit, easy level to walk.
I took the tour a day after arriving la Paz. It’s not enough time to acclimatize myself to the altitude, not to mention to take this tour without preparation. It’s a great tour if you enjoy hiking and challenging yourself.
