Châteaux Neuschwanstein et Hohenschwangau de Munich

The tour was awesome! Christine and Habil are a great team. Christine had some great stories and fun facts. FYI, you can't take pictures in the castles.

We had a great time in this tour! Charlie was an amazing guide and communicator. He has the best advice and was a wealth of knowledge. We only wish we had more time to see the inside of Neuschwanstein Castle, but that seems to be how the castle operates things, and is no way an indicator on the quality of this tour. We would recommend doing this!

A great day touring the castles and seeing the beautiful countryside around them. Our guide, Christine, did a wonderful job providing all the history for us. A little bit of a longer day from Munich, but well worth it.

It was a wonderful time. Christine did a fantastic job and providing us pertinent knowledge in preparation for the castle, even passing through the small teams she did an amazing job sharing some stories. My only negative thing to say would be that the price isn’t the best. While I paid $130, or so for our tickets , it didn’t include the $48 addition per person for the tour of both castles (30 minutes each roughly) and no lunch. Yes, I am aware that it is mentioned that it is not included, still is a negative though. Specially considering I have had similar all day tours and they either included lunch, or atleast included tickets for entry. All in all, thank you Christine , my wife and I truly enjoyed our trip with you!

Christina with mentor reisen was a great guide- gave a wonderful history about the castles and very organized and clear about the itinerary - we left at 9:15 am, arrived at the ticket center by 11:30 and had time to see the museum of Bavarian kings before taking a horse carriage to hohenschwangau and had time to take photos in the garden before our 1 pm 45 minute tour; we walked back down, had a grab and go sandwich then caught the 2:30 pm shuttle bus to the bridge and had time to walk to the spot up the road behind the bridge which is a good alternative if the line is too long for the bridge; we had plenty of time walking down to neuschwanstein and took photos along the way and outside the courtyard before entering the courtyard at 3:25 pm for our 4:10 pm tour and took photos above the courtyard and still had plenty of time before our 30 minute tour; after the tour we bought souvenirs at the gift shop, snapped quick photos off the balcony of the bridge, saw the final exhibit of the castle model on the way out, took photos at the viewpoint and hustled to the horse carriage; the carriage took a while to leave but we made it just on time to meet our bus at 5:45 pm back to town and arrived at 7:40 pm; I think meeting at the bus at 6 pm would have been better to provide enough time to get down the hill and allow time for the last exhibit and taking photos at the balcony near the gift shop and the last viewpoint on the way out; also to allow time for the horse carriage ride back to town; although Christina showed us a short cut path to walk down it is steep and not ideal for older folks with knee issues; otherwise a great experience and very well organized!

We took the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau tour from Munich. The bus tour company itself was excellent. Everything was well organized, transportation was comfortable, and our guide was terrific. The reason I’m giving the overall experience four stars instead of five is the experience inside the two castles. Those tours are operated by the castles, not by the bus company, so I don’t fault our guide or tour operator for this. Both castle tours felt incredibly rushed. Groups are scheduled very closely together, and there was another group immediately behind us throughout the tour. We were moved from room to room with almost no opportunity to stop, look closely, or really absorb what we were seeing. These are extraordinary places, and it was frustrating to feel that we were being hurried through them instead of having time to experience them. I would still recommend this tour company and especially our guide. I just think prospective travelers should know that the actual tours inside Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau may feel much more rushed than they expect.

Lucy was an excellent guide for the whole trip, providing us with background and history to Munich, Bavaria and the castles along with recommendations while we were there. Rexhep was a wonderful driver. Both made sure the trip went perfectly. Highly recommend.

Christine gave us valuable visiting tips to make the most of the day! His historical context of the site and family stories during the trip to the site was a great help!
