Une visite en petit groupe avec une touche locale et personnelle. Probablement la visite la plus célèbre d'Islande, le Cercle d'Or est le mélange parfait d'histoire humaine et naturelle. Nous visiterons le parc national de Thingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss, la serre Friðheimar et la lagune secrète. Le Cercle d'Or est un incontournable pour tous ceux qui souhaitent vraiment connaître l'Islande. Le Scret Lagoon est le moyen idéal pour se détendre et profiter de l'Islande. Une expérience de déjeuner tout à fait unique à la serre Friðheimar, le déjeuner est inclus.

Itinéraire
Thingvellir est caractérisé par une vallée de rift tectonique et marque la séparation des plaques eurasienne et nord-américaine les unes des autres. En 930, le Parlement islandais, la première démocratie au monde, fut créé à Thingvellir. Thingvellir est devenu un site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 2004. Nous marchons jusqu'à la cascade d'Öxarárfoss.
Saviez-vous que le nom anglais « geyser » dérive du seul et unique nom de la région de Haukadalur en Islande ? Le geyser Geysir lui-même fait jaillir de l'eau bouillante jusqu'à 70 mètres, mais est presque inactif. Strokkur, à seulement quelques mètres du Geyser, entre en éruption en moyenne toutes les 4 minutes. Faxi est une cascade à proximité et nous nous y arrêtons.
Près de Geysir se trouve la belle cascade Gullfoss. Profitez de la vue d'en haut et marchez sur le chemin pour vous approcher de la puissante cascade.
Dans la serre Friðheimar, les tomates sont cultivées grâce à la chaleur géothermique et à l'électricité générée par la géothermie. Avec un climat tropical à l'intérieur, ils ont ouvert un restaurant, juste là, dans le champ de tomates. Les principaux ingrédients de leur menu sont bien sûr les tomates cultivées sur place. Il s'agit d'une expérience de déjeuner très rare et unique.
Détendez-vous et détendez-vous dans l'ancienne piscine locale de Flúðir, également appelée la lagune secrète.

We had an awesome tour guide for three days and were able to see so much in a short time! This was a private small group tour 7 to 11 people. Our guide Addie was very professional, personable and knowledgeable of Icelandic history and the sites we visited! She was flexible if we needed to spend a bit more time in some places. Guides provide and reinforce safety information to visitors. It's nice to ride and enjoy the scenery a d not have to focus on driving. She had great stories too!! We booked a private tour with the Family and it was a wonderful experience. This is the second time we booked our vacation with this company and the experience was amazing as always. Hopefully next visit we will pick more places to visit and see in Iceland

We enjoyed our tour of amazing sites on the Golden Circle. Helga, our guide, was excellent! She was passionate, friendly, amazingly knowledgeable with an Advanced degree in geology. Ending the day at the secret lagoon was the icing on the cake!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and even looked like a Viking! The landscape was spectacular. The geyser did not reach any kind of height, just sort of bubbled and steam blew out, but that is no fault of the tour company. I was with a group of 8 friends, we decided that we did not want to get off at the secret lagoon but wanted to continue on with the rest of the tour and our guide accommodated us.
