Cats & Hidden Alleyways : une visite à pied sur le thème du chaton à Nagasaki

Description

This was a wonderful tour and on our particular day, great for spotting cats. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. We got to learn a bit about the history of Nagasaki and the local cat population. The tour path does take you up into the hillside neighborhoods. The cat themed cafe at the start and shrine at the end were both very cute! We also got some solid restaurant and snack recommendations for the area as well. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
Took my wife for a surprise tour, and I’ve never seen her so happy. As a cat lover, she was in heaven. The weather was cloudy, but seemed like perfect conditions for the cats. Our guide, Keiko was amazing and really knew her stuff! As a professional tour guide myself, I was very impressed with her information and how easy and clearly she explained everything. Would highly recommend to any cat lover or just someone who wants to know more about the city.
Fantastic cat tour of Nagasaki, tour guides were very knowledgeable and interesting and were able to tell us a lot about the history of Nagasaki as well as a lot about the cats there! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting or anyone who loves cats :)
The tour was incredible and showed us many of the most beautiful places around Nagasaki as well as all the cats us cat-lovers could ask for. We learned much about the History of Nagasaki and it’s feline occupants. We would highly recommend.
It's been about a month since I joined the tour. Once again, I feel good about choosing this one. Personally speaking of Nagasaki, it was a cat, and moreover, a tail-curving cat, and participating in this tour was the main event of my trip to Nagasaki. ◆ At 11am, we met at the "Omageki Neko-jaya" and walked for about two hours to the "Omageki Neko Shrine" near Megane Bridge. I met the first black cat on Holland Slope, and many more after that. (※Some days, it seems, you may not meet many cats.) ◆On the other hand, the talk by the guide from Nagasaki was fun and easy to understand, such as the guide of the "city" and "neighborhood" of Nagasaki city and its historical commentary, deepened our understanding of Nagasaki. It happened to be just around the time that the Nagasaki Lantern Festival (*held from February 6 to February 23 in 2026) was being held, and colorful lanterns were gorgeous, adding more color to the memory. ◆Please note that there are many slopes and stairs, so you should wear light clothing for this tour. The guide said, "This is my first time to have a Japanese guest." If you are a cat lover or a city walker, please try it. I think the standard sightseeing in Nagasaki is great, but I enjoyed Nagasaki from a different perspective. I want to participate again. Nagasaki is the best.
We had such a good time with Ena! It was so nice to have this guided walking tour of back alleys and get to see Nagasaki authentically. Learning about the city’s history from our knowledgeable guide while spotting and petting cute kitties was the perfect experience for me and my family. Highly recommend. Thank you Ena!!!
Ena was a great tour guide. We were on a journey to find the short tailed Nagasaki ( Omagari-neko ) Cat. Along the way she gave a very interesting history of Nagasaki.
We had a wonderful experience with our guide Anna today , starting at the cat themed Cafe for a coffee. We were the only two on the tour, so that made it extra special. Even though it was raining, it was still a great tour walking the back streets of Nagasaki. Beware though...many steps and steep inclines to negotiate, but worth it ! Only disappointment, because it was raining, we only saw 3 cats. Anna was very informative and helpful...she helped us to catch the tram back to the port. Highly recommend this tour for cat lovers!
Excellent way to explore off the beaten path areas of Nagasaki. We tried the local plum sake and came upon a festival with Geishas performing. Our hostess was very kind and informative. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed exploring the hidden gems of Nagasaki, tasting the local plum sake, and experiencing the festival with Geishas. It’s great to hear that our hostess made your visit even more special. We truly appreciate your kind words!
I had a lovely and relaxing time during this tour of Nagasaki city! it was fun to spot many cats and visit a cat centred cafe and shops 🐈 the tour includes a drink from the cafe so I got a delicious matcha late The tour guide is fluent in both Japanese and English and showed us many interesting and beautiful yet hidden locations, so there were no crowds. It was a valuable experience to hear about the unique history of Nagasaki directly from a local. I recommend this tour 🥰
