Great experience. Was hesitant because I read that it wasn’t relaxing and had super loud music, but we are so glad we ended up doing it! The crew was great and super attentive. Drinks were good, food was great, music was fun, crew made everything fun! We went in June which is low season so the boat was not that full and was great. The “hot tubs” are cold, my kids loved jumping off and going down the slides. We were impressed all around. Thanks for a great crew! Kevin was great. We even saw a ton of dolphins.
Myself, my wife and 3 children (all 18+) had an amazing morning on the boat. Food, crew, boat and fun was amazing and great value. Thanks to the crew for being so nice and helpful. Highly recommend. We just booked through WhatsApp (website number) and it was easy.
Fantastic event! Staff was professional attentive and super fun! Boat was beautiful, clean and the cold jacuzzi’s and slides were the icing on the cake.
The tour was well planned. They explain rules and itinerary as soon as you board. You can enjoy your boat ride as they bring you your drinks. There was an opportunity to dance, snorkel, swim and bask in the sun. Lunch was provided, but inform them if you have any food allergies to make accommodations. Overall great tour!
From the staff to the actual ship everything was on point. I would definitely put on my top activities at Manuel Antonio
Did I like it? It was good overall, but the day did not cooperate. We did not see dolphins, and we could not go snorkeling. The water was very choppy. We were left wanting more. The service was good.
Great choice of Catamaran , the staff is very helpful, the lunch was rich, they have photo service to buy, there was only little time to snorkel or swim
Waste of time and money. I feel I paid 89$ to noise polluting the wonderful Pacific Ocean and disturbing its fauna. I decided to book it because it was the only activity available to enjoy sightseeing sea fauna, but the animals are what less importance have over the whole trip. Unsufferable loud music is playing over most of the trip and there is no place in the ship to relax from it because there are speakers everywhere. We were advised already in the ship that we won´t see whales because it was not the season. We were lucky to see briefly four dolphins. Snorkeling was a joke. It was roughly 30 minutes around one single rock and because of the stormy weather we barely see anything. When I got back to the ship and due to the slighly rough sea I got dizzy and couldn´t enjoy any drinks offered but soda with salt and lemon. Also I couldn´t try any dinner because all the way back I felt terribly sick. I asked if I could take away the dinner, but they didn´t have any take away containers. By the way, I wrote to customer service to complaint, but I have received no answer at all... If you love and want to honor Nature, don´t go there.
Hello Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few important aspects of our tour so future guests can better understand the nature of the experience. Our catamaran tour is designed for all types of travelers and families, combining sightseeing, relaxation, music, food, drinks, and recreational ocean activities in a social atmosphere. The music onboard is adapted throughout the trip to accommodate different tastes and create an enjoyable environment for the majority of our guests. Regarding marine wildlife, sightings can never be guaranteed since these are wild animals in their natural habitat. As indicated during the tour, whale season in Costa Rica generally takes place between August and October, which is when sightings are much more frequent. Outside of that season, dolphin sightings are still possible, as happened briefly during your tour, but they remain unpredictable by nature. About snorkeling, in the Pacific coast of Costa Rica this activity is considered recreational rather than reef-diving style snorkeling. Visibility can vary depending on weather and ocean conditions, especially during days with rougher seas or recent rain. For safety and environmental protection reasons, snorkeling is conducted around protected rock and coral areas where conditions are safest for our guests. We are also sorry to hear that you experienced seasickness during the tour. Unfortunately, ocean conditions can affect some guests differently, particularly on days with stronger swell. Our crew always tries to assist guests as much as possible when this happens. Finally, we sincerely apologize if you did not receive a timely response from customer service. That is certainly not the level of attention we aim to provide. We appreciate your comments, as they help us continue improving while also allowing us to clarify the realistic expectations of ocean and wildlife experiences in the Pacific. Kind regards, Ocean King Catamaran Team
