Description
Une fois arrivé sur l’île de Catalina vers 10h, vous pourrez faire de la plongée avec tuba « le Mur », où vous admirerez de magnifiques récifs coralliens. Ensuite, vous naviguerez de l’autre côté de l’île, jusqu’à « l’aquarium » où vous dégusterez un bon repas à bord du catamaran. Choisir le Quetzal, c’est choisir la différence et la qualité du service ! Itinéraire
Embarquez à 9 heures pour le Quetzal et naviguez pendant une heure vers l'île de Catalina. Vous arriverez vers 10h, où vous pourrez plonger avec tuba "Le Mur", vous admirerez de beaux coraux. Ensuite, nous naviguerons de l'autre côté de l'île, vers «l'Aquarium» où vous dégusterez un délicieux repas à bord du catamaran. Après le déjeuner, vous aurez le temps de vous détendre sur la plage de Catalina, de faire de la plongée avec tuba et de voir de nombreux types de poissons. Nous partirons vers 15 heures pour revenir vers Bayahibe. Sur le chemin du retour, nous prendrons notre temps et naviguerons le long de la côte de Casa del Campo, où vous obtiendrez des explications de notre guide national. Nous terminerons la journée par une croisière sur la rivière Chavon, célèbre pour ses magnifiques paysages de jungle utilisés dans de nombreux films!

Be warned: do not book with/through this operator. Wasted day and (lots of) money. Very bad weather which was known in advance. No possibility to move or cancel despite being mentioned on their site. Not being able to snorkel because the weather was too bad. And Dorito’s included was 3 chips per person 😂

Excellent excursion , from the hotel pickup at the agreed time, small group departure, with guide Clemenceau(Cream) , we completed 2 snorkeling, Second most uncomfortable for weather and some swell, excellent food and then left us time Catalina Island and Chacon River tour with super lively party back, all 10

Beautiful boat service was poor staff did nothing to make the day memorable. No energy whatsoever. They sat on their phones, no music no interaction. Boring for the cost not worth it. Very disappointing.

This is a fun trip and the crew were super nice and accommodating. The boat is comfortable and spacious. Lunch was really delicious. The title of the trip is a little misleading as we did not step foot on Catalina Island. The boat anchored a little far out from the island and we just snorkel near it, but did not go onto the island. It would have been possible, but we were pretty far and would have had to swim to shore and then would not have any of our stuff with us. Also, the snorkeling was good, but the wall itself is not a good place for snorkeling. It is very deep and hard to see anything. But we did snorkel and some nice places with good visibility. All in all it was a nice trip though.

Great day with sailing snorkeling and good food. Staff is very kind and attentive. I wish we had some beach time but the boat was very comfortable.

We drove from Punta Cana and arrived at Quetzal in Bayahibe around 8:30 am. After checking in, our guide walked us down to the dock and we took a shuttle boat to the Catamaran. It was a beautiful and peaceful trip out to our first stop at Isla Catalina. The ocean conditions were challenging with strong winds and currents so we only snorkeled about 10 minutes there. We then left for Samoa where the waters were much more calm. We snorkeled about 30-40 minutes, but there was more time if people wanted to continue snorkeling or go ashore. We stayed onboard after snorkeling and talked with guide Charlotte. She was a delightful young lady from France. They then cooked us a great lunch of chicken, steak, pasta, salad, and fresh fruit. There was also an open bar. After leaving Saona, we cruised up Rio Chavon and one of the crew explained the history of the area, including famous movies filmed there like Apocalypse Now. All and all, it was a great time and the entire crew was wonderful.
