Le château de Trakošćan est un château situé dans le nord de la Croatie qui remonte au XIIIe siècle et est l'un des rares objets en Croatie avec une construction entièrement préservée, historiquement liée au cadre architectural et à la vie de ses propriétaires - la famille Drašković. Le toponyme "Trakošćan" a été mentionné pour la première fois dans des documents écrits à partir de 1334. Le patrimoine culturel du château de Trakošćan est protégé en tant qu'entité historique, qui se compose du château, du bâtiment à côté du château, du parc et du parc forestier avec un lac. Aujourd'hui, le château est l'une des rares installations en Croatie à avoir conservé sa propre constitution, historiquement étroitement liée au cadre architectural et à la vie de ses propriétaires.
Le nouveau musée de Krapina Neandertal est situé à proximité du site mondialement connu des Néandertaliens de Krapina "Hušnjakovo", ce qui en fait un complexe de visite unique. Le musée de Krapina Neandertal est situé près du site de fouilles de Hušnjakovo, où 1899 a été découverte la plus grande collection au monde d'ossements fossiles de Néandertal. Plus de neuf cents os fossiles de Néandertaliens et de nombreux restes fossiles d'animaux du Pléistocène (rhinocéros laineux, ours des cavernes, loup, wapiti, cerf géant et bien d'autres) ont été trouvés dans les dépôts de grès des grottes. Plus d'un millier d'outils en pierre ont témoigné de la culture matérielle des Néandertaliens de Krapina. Le site remonte à 125 000 avant JC et c'est l'une des localités paléoanthropologiques les plus importantes au monde. L'architecture du Musée évoque l'habitat de l'homme préhistorique : la demi-grotte, le volume, les proportions et la façade qui résultent de l'analyse faite sur l'aspect de l'antique demi-grotte de Krapina.

Really nice trip and a great way to spend the day. Trakošćan Castle is beautiful, and the museum was interesting even though I’m usually not a big fan of museums. Everything was well organized and went smoothly. I would definitely recommend it if you’re staying in Zagreb and want to see something different :)
Had a great experience on this tour! Highly recommend touring the castle. It is very well done! The Neanderthal museum is also very interesting. Sanja was an amazing guide! Very friendly and was prompt at the pickup location. I really appreciate her being so flexible. We booked with her the night before and it was for only two people but she happily accepted the booking. The weather started taking a turn on the way back and she was kind enough to drop us off at our hotel instead of the normal drop off location so we wouldn’t have to walk back in the rain. Overall, highly recommend booking a tour with her.

Very fun and interesting tour. Nice getting to know Croatian history and wine tasting was great as well. The walk around the Trakoscan lake was the best part for me.4

You, the company tour operstor. sent me a message with notice that i had to find sb else because the excursion could not be done with only one person THE PREVIOUS DAY. You could have warned me 2 days in advance at least, so i could change my plans. I had to hire a cab to visit the trakoscan castle of Draskovic family, Unique barroque gothic style in east european countries with furniture and paintings still in. (Not in Ljubliana castles, which are empty, only stone walls because they were fortresses. By the way, ..your ticket to PredjamaCastle was not valid at the office of Predjama ONLY TICKTES BOUGHT THERE ARE VALID.... ..AND YOU EVEN DID NOT ANSWER MY MESSAGES ABOUT PITVICE VISIT ON A RAINY DAY! i will never reserve a tour on your company. Refund, pls.
I am very sorry for your wasted day, but we tried to reach you on the phone number you left. Unfortunately, you did not leave the correct number and did not respond to us. Unfortunately, every traveler is obliged to contact us at least a day before and check the conditions to make sure everything is as scheduled in the program description. You did not call or respond to our message! I think you have confused us with some other agency because you did not book a trip to Plitvice or Predjama Castle with us nor did you contact us about it!
The castle was fabulous. Lots of stairs to get there. The Neanderthal museum was very well done and if you like history, it is a musty. Our guide was amazing. She was informative, friendly, and flexible.

Our guide was very nice, flexible and interactive. Our tour turned into a small group excursion with just the 3 of us and we had a phenomenal day. Krapina is a lovely small town and the Neanderthal Museum is a MUST. So educational and in an unexpectedly gorgeous setting. The castle is one of the most amazing castles I have ever seen. Highly recommend this tour!

Tour guide never reached out to me prior to trip. Had to contact viator the day of when the tour guide was 30 minutes late, who contacted the operator. Operator told me they couldn’t drive for several days, so my trip was cancelled. I should’ve listen to the other reviewer who warned about this. Do not book with this company.
Ok, sir... I'm a woman... and an entrepreneur... alone in this business, I organize and drive when there are at least 3 people! It's not worth working for anyone in this world to work for individual tours, and even though I do everything myself, I reported in time that the tour wouldn't go because there were too few people, that is, it's just you! It was perfect! Such a beautiful medieval castle and all the nature around The exhibition shows the life of the medieval burgh and the rooms where you can move around and get to know the life of the nobility It would be wonderful if the lake had water, but it's still under renovation, so it's not a complete experience. I hope some next time. Love it ♥
