Puerto Plata avec ses charmes vous invite à découvrir les 27 cascades de Damajagua (27 Charcos), et tyrolienne découverte il y a quelques années à peine et immergée dans les belles collines de la chaîne de montagnes du nord, ce monument naturel fait partie du système des aires protégées de la République Dominicaine. 27 Waterfalls est caché dans un canyon tropical est une chaîne de cascades que vous pouvez randonner et glisser vers le bas, nager sous, et sauter en redescendant. Vous vous dirigerez avec un guide touristique qui vous aidera à sauter des endroits sûrs, vous expliquera peut-être une partie de l'histoire de ces magnifiques chutes, dont certaines ont d'anciennes légendes qui remontent aux Indiens Taino qui ont découvert ce joyau pour la première fois, et d'après mon expérience rendra l'aventure encore plus amusante.

Lieux et horaires de prise en charge
Nous n'avons pas de plages horaires. Nous quittons le port 45 minutes après l'accostage de votre navire. Veuillez débarquer le plus rapidement possible et être au point de prise en charge au plus tard 45 minutes après l'amarrage de votre navire. Nous pouvons venir vous chercher dans: Amber Cove, Taino Bay, et dans la ville de Puerto Plata, notre service comprenait tous les hôtels de la zone. Amber Cove: la prise en charge se fera à l'extérieur du port, après la porte principale, côté gauche de l'avenue. Environ 10 à 12 minutes à pied. Taino Bay: la prise en charge se fera à l'entrée principale, à droite de la station de taxi, à l'extérieur de la porte. Environ 10 minutes à pied. You have to walk outside of the Amber Cove gated grounds to find the Edwins Travels van for pickup. It was easy. AND they were VERY prompt to return us by 4pm. Sádē, our driver was great. He spoke no English but was adept at using Google translate to communicate. He took us after lunch to a small local shop for cigars, coffee and souvenirs which we loved, near the drop off point outside the gate. The "Zip and Dip" was well worth it and a fantastic fun excursion for us 2 -70 yr olds and our 2, 17 yr old teen Gkids. The lunch with local food on-site at the Falls HQ was fantastic. We bought Presidente cervesa's (22oz), ice cold and excellent beer.

Great experience. Easy directions to get to location of pick up. Our driver with Edwin tours was amazing. Felt safe and cared for. The tour guys Francis Felix and omega were great. They took very good care of us. If we ever come back we will definitely be booking with Edwin tours again!

We were on a cruise and booked this excursion which was excellent, but I do have some feedback! 1. When we were dropped off we were rushed through the 'check in' process (to the point of them almost being rude). They told us not to bring our phones (even in a water-proof lanyard) and made it sound like there was a high probability that they could get lost. But they did have a photographer for $100 you could get pictures from. We didn't get the pictures and left behind our cameras and I REALLY regret that choice! The people that took their cameras were just fine. 2. I cannot stress this one enough.... TAKE BUG SPRAY! Use copious amounts before you take off on your hike. I am prone to mosquito bites and when I say there are swarms of mosquitos on this excursion, that is not an exaggeration! I came back with at least 20-30 mosquito bites. 3. This is definitely a moderate "plus" hike....not strenuous, but also not for everyone. 4. The waterfalls are amazing, but be prepared to slide/jump; there is no other option....no turning back. And you will hit the pool of water below with velocity and plunge down a few feet. Don't worry - you have a life vest and will be fine, but that first one is a little startling if you aren't expecting it. Lunch was 'meh', but we weren't there for the lunch. We did the triple adventure (ziplining, buggies and waterfalls) and it said it was a 7.5 hour excursion. Our port stop was 7.5 hours, so was a little concerned about time (even though the boat won't leave without you). But all told it ended up being around 6 hours, so plenty of time to spare and hit a couple of shops in Amber Cove. Would I do this again? Absolutely! I would just take bug spray and my camera to get some amazing pictures!

It was a lot of fun but its a good hike. Intermediate plus. Highly recommend it and Edwin Tours was awesome. Driver was easy to find outside the gate and waited for us in a private group of 7 with our own van.

Very inconsistent transportation for our excursion. First, the tour operator almost tried to split up me and my husband in the van, only to be then let on - and then have the van drive 200 feet away - only to unload 4 passengers. Then we were told we’d have to move to another van for the ride back - only to be then told when we got done that we’d have to stay 2 hours longer and told our cruise doesn’t depart until 3:30 when I clearly added to the reservation that it was 2:30. We then joined a driver taking a private family back to have them drop off to port in time. Very confusing and frustrating start and finish to this tour.

Great guides and the few times when I was ziplining or going down the waterfall were fun. However it was very crowded, chaotic at times, and there was more waiting than anything else. The lunch was good. Edward was a good driver and took us to a nice shop after with chocolate, amber, souvenirs, coffee, fruit, etc.

A true winner and must do in Puerta Plata. The views from the zipline are spectacular and swimming thru waterfalls sliding down natural slides is truly a lifetime experience. Manuel and Gabriel were wonderful guides. Get the lunch after too- cuisine was great. And Mariano as our private driver and tour guide couldn’t be beat. He takes you to the best monkey place too. Another excursion we highly recommend.

The hike up to the zip lines was absolutely beautiful and our tour guide (Flaco, unsure of the spelling) was so fantastic! He didn’t leave anyone behind and genuinely cared for us like family. The zip lines were very fun! When we got to the falls it was breathtaking! I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who doesn’t like their head going under water or if they don’t like swimming but my partner and I had a fantastic time!
