The experience overall was really nice and enjoyable and the tour guides were spectacular!!! However, be prepared for a lot of physical activity. There is a long walk, multiple sets of stairs, and several ladders to climb down before reaching the waterfalls. Because of this, I would not recommend this excursion for anyone with asthma or for those who have difficulty with strenuous physical activity.
Absolutely incredible experience at Damajagua Waterfalls! This was one of the highlights of our trip. The waterfalls and natural pools are stunning, the water was beautiful, and the whole adventure was exciting from start to finish. The guides were organized, professional, and made us feel safe while still making it a lot of fun. The jumps, slides, and swimming through the falls were unforgettable. You can tell they run this tour well, and the scenery is even better in person than the photos. If you’re visiting the area, this is a must-do experience. Highly recommend — 5 stars all the way!
We had a fantastic time visiting 3 waterfalls. There were 3 cruise ships in port so we had long lines
This was incredible. Tour guy Floricel was excellent and driver Bambo "Morgan Freeman" was a safe driver. Small group. Beautiful nature. $75 Trip was 7hrs I went for my 35th birthday Highly recommend 10/10
Our guides were very friendly and attentive to our needs, moving at our pace and explaining things carefully. We really enjoyed the experience and especially the opportunity to hire a photographer to join us since it was a memorable event! I'm addition to the waterfalls, Alberto gave us a nice short tour to experience Dominican Republic life and sample some local food and drink. Our driver, Ronald, was very friendly and helpful as well! It was great!
Damajagua Adventure: Waterfalls and Canyoneering (2/19 Thu.) Noiami - was our upbeat, cute transportation guide/DJ Carlos (?) - was very efficient, and made driving a bus in the Dominican Republic seem fluid and easy. Manuel - our Damajagua Leader Berni ‘Mac’ - fauna/flora expert, bird-call impersonator, and lead guide Dave - photographer/‘Paparazzi’ Manuel and Berni kept our group moving and together at a comfortable pace throughout our waterfall adventure. Weaving back and forth between the group, the duo kept conversations light and enthusiastic. Berni educated and entertained us with his knowledge of local floral (Soursop, bananas and plantains, etc) and impressive animal-/bird-calls. Manuel presented information about local populations and affects of the weather upon the Damajagua National Park (diminished rainfall over the last eight years had noticeable reduced the water-level pf the falls). Dave intermingled throughout our group snapping pictures of us all (we purchased a ‘thumb-drive’ of our excursion afterwards). The aid-station, and awaiting ‘donkey-ambulances’ were not utilized by any of us, but it was reassuring to know that if needed, we would be taken care of. The buffet lunch was a welcome surprise; salad two types of rice, yucca, jerked-chicken, and lightly-grilled fish. Everyone was kind and positive/happy; we had a great time! After our adventure, our only regret was that we were not able to return again to experience another waterfall adventure with Manuel and Berni, and Dave!
It's a scam. No one showed up or called. Phone number listed and website are not working. Taking my money back. Viator, please ensure that you provide legit business or...go bankrupt.
Our taxi was very late picking us up, first time on a cruise for us, the ship will not wait. Everyone in our taxi was also on a ship and freaked everyone out. Barely made it back in time
I did the waterfalls tour and it was awesome first we walk a bit in the jungle and then start to jump and slide in the waterfalls the water was cold but super fresh after some minutes you dont care anymore it was so much fun the place is beautiful everything green and the water clear the guides help a lot when it was slippery I really recommend this tour it was one of the best things I did in Dominican Republic
