Le temple Wat Huay Mongkol est en fait un complexe de temples qui abrite la plus grande statue de moine au monde - la statue du célèbre moine Luang Phor Tuad. Le célèbre moine, Luang Phor Tuad, est né il y a 400 ans, à la fin de la période Ayuthaya, à Nakhom Si Tamarat, (au sud de la Thaïlande). Luang Phor Tuad était célèbre pour ses miracles et les Thaïlandais croient que son image détient des pouvoirs protecteurs pour les protéger des catastrophes naturelles et du mauvais œil. Le moine, Luang Phor Tuad, est un saint homme admiré par de nombreux Thaïlandais qui viennent lui rendre hommage de toute la Thaïlande. Les Thaïlandais croient également que porter une amulette de Luang Phor Tuad éloigne le mauvais œil et leur porte chance. Il y a quelques petits magasins vendant ces amulettes et quelques autres souvenirs dans le parc.
10h30 continuation vers le parc national de Kaeng Krachan. Avant d'atteindre la chute d'eau, vous pouvez voir plusieurs fois des éléphants sauvages traverser la route. Le parc national de Kaeng Krachan est le plus grand parc national de Thaïlande. Elle est à la frontière avec la Birmanie, contiguë à la réserve naturelle de Tanintharyi. Le nom de "Cascade Pa Lau" est dérivé du mot "La-U" en langue Karen, qui signifie "bambou" car la zone de cette cascade est remplie de bambou. La cascade Pa La-U est située dans le parc national de Kaeng Krachan. sur une superficie d'environ 437 000 000 mètres carrés avec une nature et une faune abondantes. Les animaux sauvages qui sont facilement visibles comprennent les gibbons, les éléphants, les hérissons et les oiseaux rares tels que les trogons à tête rouge, les malkohas à bec vert, les grands pics ardoisés, les coucous à poitrine rouillée, etc. Il est considéré comme un autre endroit approprié pour les oiseaux. en train de regarder. We were elected promptly from our hotel lobby. The guide 'Amp' was very friendly and informative about the area we were visiting. Constantly pointing out areas of interest. The meal typical Thai, with a great view.
We had a last minute booking and therefore an extra charge, what we didn't know is that we had a private trip for it! The driver/guide told us a lot during the trip and responded to all our questions. Specially made a small tour change so he could show us more Thai agriculture. In detail, but without imposing, he told us about the faith and culture of Buddhism at the temple with Burda monk. The highlight was the breathtaking beautiful waterfalls where we also swam between the carp. At the end there was a delicious Thai meal at a beautiful idyllic restaurant. So don’t hesitate if you’re looking for another last minute trip.

Very nice experience with eventually a splash in the cool clear water. After a climb, largely doable, sometimes some scrambling we reached level 4 of the waterfall. Here we fed the fish with black grains of fish food that we bought at the entrance. We swam among the fish towards the waterfall. It is not deep, some pieces of stone are a bit sharp, the water shoes came in handy. On the way up, a huge number of colorful butterflies flew. In short, beautiful! Definitely recommended.

The nature and jungle is impressive, unfortunately our expectations were a bit disappointed as we hoped to see and discover more wildlife on this tour, especially elephants and monkeys! Elephants unfortunately did not show up and monkeys there was only a small school on the side of the road but also only because they were just being fed! In the jungle itself you only saw a lot of butterflies and a few lizards! The food afterwards was great! And our tour guide super nice, friendly and very educated! He spoke German, which is another plus point! Conclusion: all in all I found the tour a little too expensive! Even if the jungle experience was good!

In addition, as a registered travel agency, we have to comply with Thai regulations, pay taxes and insurance for all guests during the tour. We also have to pay the minimum wage to the driver and tour guide. Since the tour is designed as a jungle tour, there is of course the possibility to see animals, but this is not a guarantee. The English-speaking tour guide was free of charge to offer you a good private tour and excellent service. Nevertheless, I would like to thank you for your booking.
Trip was worthwhile. Guide was very informative. Took us to a number of cultural sites and then to the scenic hike. The waterfalls were picturesque, but challenging to get into the water with the fish and the slippery rocks. The lunch overlooking the hills was delicious. The drive was picturesque. We saw a whole group of macaque monkeys on the way.
