Cascade de La Fortuna et randonnée au volcan Arenal
Description
Nous commencerons tôt le matin en visitant la célèbre cascade de Fortuna, puis nous nous dirigerons vers le parc écologique du volcan Arenal où nous traverserons également tous les champs de roche de lave, puis nous nous rafraîchirons dans le lagon de Tabacon dans le parc, puis après un délicieux déjeuner, nous allons terminer dans les sources chaudes naturelles de la rivière Tabacon.

Nous descendons plus de 500 marches pour trouver la cascade où vous pourrez nager, après quoi nous remontons les 500 marches pour continuer vers l'emplacement suivant.
Ici, nous marchons jusqu'au pied du volcan, il faut environ 2 à 3 heures de marche dans le parc, puis nous déjeunons sur place, après le déjeuner, nous partirons vers la rivière des sources chaudes.

Un minibus et un guide vous rencontreront dans le hall de leur hôtel. L'heure de prise en charge doit être confirmée avec l'entreprise car elle peut varier en fonction de l'emplacement. Although our pick up time and hotel were listed on my invoice, no one showed up. After contacting a Viator rep, we were told to go to a different hotel for pick up, and the trip was canceled. The local tour operator didn’t answer the call. This is the first time Viator has let us down . Very upsetting. I guess we’ll get a refund.

Although we started with a slight hiccup, the tour went on to become a really good one. The hiccup happened with the pickup where the tour company failed to get us from the hotel as requested on the app. But once they realized the issue, a pickup car was sent to get us from the hotel to the waterfall. But then after that everything was flawless. Stunning view of the La Fortuna waterfall to the arenal volcano hike… luckily we didn’t experience much rain after the waterfall hike, which went in our favor. The guides would stop all along the way to give a detailed description of the different plants and trees.

This tour was so much fun and had beautiful views! First we got to hike to the La fortuna waterfall and swim at the bottom, then we hiked to a viewpoint of the Arenal Volcano, had lunch, and went to relax in a natural hot spring. Would definitely recommend!

The trip was interesting. Very well organized. We got picked up from our hotel. It was poring the whole time, though (rainforest, right??). I'd suggest reserving at the last moment, if possible, checking the weather. We didn't see much, all was covered in water. The guide gave lots of information.

As advertised, this tour requires a good level of fitness. Plus take into account that it's hot and humid, so the volcano hike in particular seemed more strenuous than I expected. First was the waterfall - 500 steps down and up. It was beautiful and the cold water felt good. Next was the volcano hike. Our group was fairly large (around 30 people), so it was helpful to have multiple guides to split into smaller groups. My guide was Augustin - simply excellent. He went above and beyond in my opinion. The view of Arenal at the top was fantastic. After Arenal, we went to the hot springs, which was also an excellent experience. The tour company was great. I'm rating it a 4 only because of an issue with Viator that they don't seem interested in helping me solve. I would recommend booking this tour directly with the tour company if possible.
