Le seul tour de marbre de Carrare qui vous permet d'entrer dans une vraie grotte. Ravi de vous rencontrer! Nous sommes chauffeurs et accompagnateurs... nous aimerions vous montrer un joyau caché de la Toscane ! Je viendrai vous chercher avec ma camionnette professionnelle de la région de Lucques ou de Pise et je vous emmènerai sur la montagne de Carrare. Nous atteindrons la grotte et nous sauterons dans une Jeep 4x4 qui pourra nous conduire à l'intérieur. Un guide professionnel vous expliquera tout sur l'histoire de ce lieu légendaire : non seulement comment ils travaillent et ils extraient le marbre, mais aussi comment ils produisent un vin spécial ou comment reconnaître un vrai marbre de Carrare d'un faux. À la fin de la visite, nous sortirons de la grotte et je vous conduirai dans le petit village de Colonnata : un tout petit et authentique lieu célèbre pour un type de salami très savoureux... "lardo di colonnata" ! Je peux vous amener dans le meilleur magasin d'alimentation pour acheter un morceau de saindoux ou essayer de réserver un restaurant local pour une dégustation ! Une visite hors des sentiers battus :)

Vous aurez la possibilité unique de visiter une véritable grotte de marbre de Carrare. C'est la seule visite qui vous donnera l'occasion de pénétrer dans une grotte où, encore aujourd'hui, on extrait du marbre pur.
Nous visiterons le petit village de Colonnata : l'endroit où le "lardo" (une sorte de salami très savoureux) est fabriqué. La terrasse panoramique vous fera profiter d'une vue imprenable sur les grottes de marbre de Carrare. De plus, l'heure restante correspond au temps de trajet de 30 minutes en voiture aller et de 30 minutes en voiture au retour.

This was such an interesting tour. It was well run. Besides the marble cave tour, we had a good lunch (paid for separately) of lardo. I recommend this tour.
This was a very unique experience that our group of 7 really enjoyed. We had an amazing tour guide -Raffaele- who provided us with so much information. Our visit to Colonnata was extra special. It’s a sweet little town that we are glad we didn’t miss. A great way to spend a day in the Lucca area. Highly recommended!
What a great day. We saw the countryside, toured inside the Carrara mine and had a fun lunch. Our guide was amazing and went out of his way for us at every turn. He even brought my husband his cane which he had left in the car. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in marble or just how the mining process works.
Our experience with Viator was excellent. From preliminary details, communicating on text, picking us up and taking us on the journey were all flawless. In addition to taking us to the marble tour, Marco took us to an amazing lunch at a very local restaurant with some of the top food in Italy so far!!

An excursion of a lifetime! Our new friend, Thomaso, our driver and guide, was informational and engaging! Everything from the start was seamless. The drive over seemed to take very little time because he engaged with all of the passengers on the tour. Once we arrived at Carrara, we took a 4 wheel drive into the cave. At that point Francesca , one of the members of the family who mine the marble, gave an amazing discussion of the process required to extract huge blocks of marble from the only internal mines in Carrara. After the tour we drove up to the city of Colonnada. We enjoyed a fun luncheon with lardo, meats, wine and bread. A fantastic day that we all highly recommend.

Our driver Marco was super! On time, friendly, very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English. We totally enjoyed the ride to Carrara Quarry. We stopped for a snack of Lardo in Colonatta that was really fun and interesting.

Fantastic trip and most enjoyable! The guide was very curteous and well informed and had great ideas on engaging us with the other tour members . It was a small party and the executive transporter certainly not a van as described!. The internal trip in the Carrara mine was part of a larger tour, but that all went seamlessly and was very informative - Overall a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this guide
