Retournez à temps dans un voyage millénaire et plongez dans cette citadelle préhispanique exceptionnelle : temples, pyramides, amphithéâtre et les places principales. Depuis le sommet, vous pourrez apprécier toute la majesté de la vallée de Supe. Caral a gagné des éloges pour ses ruines magnifiquement préservées et sa collection intrigante d'artefacts, y compris un quipu (un système de nœuds unique utilisé par les anciennes civilisations andines) et un certain nombre d'instruments de musique fabriqués à partir d'os d'animaux, mais certainement pas là trace de guerre ou d'armement!

Notre Guide touristique et chauffeur viendra vous chercher pour vous emmener à Caral. Le trajet à Caral en van dure environ 4 heures. Nous ferons un court arrêt pour acheter Petit-déjeuner, collations, aller à la salle de bain ou tout simplement étirer un peu. A 10h30 env., nous arriverons au site archéologique de Caral, l'un des plus impressionnants du Pérou ! Vous découvrirez les mystères qui entourent cette ancienne ville et vous plongerez dans l'histoire et la culture d'une des civilisations les plus importantes de l'histoire précolombienne. Une visite à Caral est une expérience inoubliable pour les amateurs d'archéologie et ceux qui cherchent à se connecter avec l'héritage ancestral de l'humanité. À 13 h 00 env. : Nous terminerons la visite à Caral et retournerons à Lima. Au retour, nous nous arrêterons pour déjeuner dans un restaurant local. Le déjeuner n'est pas inclus, mais nous vous aiderons à préparer un repas dans l'un des restaurants locaux.

Great experience visiting the archeological site of Caral with Cesar and Cirilo. Cesar has a wealth of knowledge, not only about Caral, but all aspects of Lima and Peru. We learned so much on our drive and the site was fantastic. Both Cirilo and Cesar were very friendly and respectful. I highly recommend this trip.
If you like visiting archaeological sites, this is for you. It did make for a very long day. We were gone for more than 12 hours, but part of that was due to the traffic coming back into Lima. Caral is an interesting site. Our guide spoke very good English.

Amazing the first civilization of America, not all of Peru is Machu Picchu, the country has much to offer as this gem of which few speak, there are few tourists but it is full of culture and history, definitely worth it even though the price is a little high.

Detailed walkthrough of the archeological site Well worth the long commute Suitable for late departure (after 8pm)
Caral, the oldest known civilisation in the Americas is a recommended visit especially for history buffs. While it is a long drive to Caral from Lima, our journey was made enjoyable by Leonardo, our guide and comfortable by Percy who drove us there and back. Leonardo is knowledgeable and passionate about the subject and kept us engaged throughout with information both about Caral and the other ancient settlements in the neighbouring areas. His general knowledge about the Peruvian history and economy also made for interesting conversation on the drive. I believe Caral makes for an interesting rounding-off of the knowledge of ancient South American societies.
Caral was worth it despite its remote location. During the journey, César was so kind and shared a lot of his knowledge about Caral as well as the different areas we passed by on route. The guide in Caral was also very informative. I highly recommend the tour and César as a tour guide for his friendliness, attentiveness and all the fun we had throughout the day. Luis was also a wonderful driver. Very friendly and he drove safely.
