Le chemin de fer Driving Creek n’est pas seulement un parcours panoramique, c’est un voyage à travers la vision de créativité et de conservation d’un seul homme. Chaque pont, tunnel et courbe a été construit à la main par le potier et ingénieur local Barry Brickell, transformant le rêve d’un artiste en un chef-d’œuvre vivant et travaillant. Aujourd'hui, la forêt qui entourait autrefois son atelier s'est épanouie en un sanctuaire protégé rempli de chants d'oiseaux et de buissons indigènes. Avec une vue imprenable depuis la Tour EyeFull et des histoires partagées par votre Guide, cette visite relie l'art, la nature et l'ingéniosité kiwi d'une manière que vous ne trouverez nulle part ailleurs.

As the name says - totally captivating. The story behind the construction of the railway is amazing. Our train driver was very engaiging and entertaining. The views as you go higher were spectacular.

Fun trip in an amazing setting. Our guide was very friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. Barry's pottery display is also well worth a visit.

Just do it!
Very cool experience, great background info and conductor was also knowledgeable about plants and animals. The tower at the end had a ramp so you can skip stairs! Super views on top.
