Cette visite combine le tramway Franschhoek toujours populaire et permet également une visite de la ville historique de Stellenbosch dans un cadre unique. Nous avons sélectionné avec soin nos arrêts de dégustation de vin pour permettre un équilibre parfait entre ceux en quête d'architecture historique et les amateurs de photos instagrammables aux connaisseurs de vin les plus critiques du monde. Le ramassage se fera depuis votre hôtel au Cap et le dépôt aussi. S'il vous plaît apporter avec vous, vos caméras vides, tenues différentes si vous le souhaitez et les papilles les plus fortes que vous êtes sur le point de partir sur un voyage de nouvelles découvertes et plus encore.

Après avoir été pris en charge dans votre logement au Cap. Vous voyagerez sur l'autoroute N2 à travers les plats du Cap jusqu'à la ville montagneuse de Stellenbosch. Pendant que vous conduisez, votre guide vous donnera un commentaire sur les points de repère importants que vous passerez devant. À votre arrivée dans la ville de Stellenbosch, vous aurez la chance de descendre du véhicule et de découvrir la ville pittoresque et confortable à pied. Les bâtiments endémiques de style Cape Dutch coulent parallèlement aux rues verdoyantes de Stellenbosch et plus d'un sillon d'eau vieux de 150 ans fait un progrès pour la pente douce nord-est de la ville. Anciens et nouveaux commerces d'art, d'antiquités, de bijoux et de bois sculpté. Vous pouvez également profiter de cette occasion pour prendre un café et absorber l'énergie vibrante de la ville avant de passer à votre première expérience de dégustation de vin de la journée.
Après la rapide exploration de la ville de Stellenbosch, la prochaine étape sera au domaine viticole de Lanzerac pour votre expérience d'accord chocolat et dégustation de vin. Lanzerac est l'un des plus anciens domaines viticoles de Stellenbosch et s'étend sur environ 200 hectares de terres au pied des montagnes Jonkershoek. Le magnifique domaine viticole est connu parmi de nombreux attributs, pour avoir les meilleurs exemples des bâtiments architecturaux du Cap Hollandais endémiques dans le monde. Le Manoir qui date des années 1830 a un statut de patrimoine provincial et, avec les vignobles et la cave à vin, crée une tradition typiquement française de fusion d'un hôtel de campagne et d'un domaine viticole. C’est à Lanzerac que le Pinotage a été mis en bouteille pour la première fois. Cependant, votre expérience ici n'aura rien à voir avec le seul vin sud-africain mais une dégustation unique de 5 vins Premium accompagnés à merveille d'une sélection de chocolats artisanaux. Les chocolats sont destinés à vous exposer les différents angles de texture du vin avant et après.
De Lanzerac, vous monterez et descendrez le col vallonné et sinueux des hauteurs de l'enfer jusqu'à Tokara. Contrairement à l'historique Lanzerac, Tokara est connue pour son look moderne, ses vues qui s'étendent jusqu'à la montagne de la Table et son sillon d'olive qui produit certaines des meilleures huiles d'olive de la région. La dégustation de vin ici se compose de 5 vins classiques dont une Rose et l'un des meilleurs Carbert Sauvignon dans la région qui a été étroitement nature pendant 2 décennies depuis le début du siècle. Les sols riches et profonds composés de granit décomposé et de grès altéré donnent à Tokara le privilège de cultiver des lots individuels qui sont ensuite assemblés pour donner des vins de premier niveau. Le conseiller en vins de Tokara partagera toutes les informations sur les vins au fur et à mesure que vous les dégusterez individuellement et si vous en avez le temps, vous pourriez également essayer les huiles d'olive ou même un plateau de fromages. Nous nous réservons le droit de faire un autre arrêt si Tokara est complet ou fermé pour des événements privés
Après votre deuxième dégustation de vin, le voyage nous mènera à la ville de Franschhoek en passant par la ville historique de Pniel. Un grand nombre d'agriculteurs originaires de France se sont présentés au Cap dans les années 1680 et ont par la suite obtenu des terres pour cultiver des vignobles et ainsi la ville a été connue sous le nom de Franschhoek, ce qui signifie le coin des Français. Entouré de montagnes et de vignobles soignés de toutes parts, Franschhoek donne une belle corrélation entre la nature et le travail de l'homme. Le domaine magnifiquement fait Leeu composé de galeries d'art, hôtel et restaurants laisse une envie brûlante de rester ici pour beaucoup plus longtemps. Nous ferons une pause déjeuner ici et vous voudrez peut-être aussi profiter de cette occasion pour explorer les magasins, cette ville ne décevrait pas. Comme à Stellenbosch, on peut y trouver des magasins d'art, des bijouteries, des magasins de cuir fin, des magasins de vêtements ou même des chocolateries fines !
Peu de temps après la pause déjeuner et l'exploration de Franschhoek, la visite se dirigera vers les terminaux de Franschhoek pour votre deuxième étape de l'expérience de dégustation de vins en tramway. Votre guide vous remettra vos tickets de tram et vous expliquera comment lire les horaires du tram. Le trajet en tramway entre les fermes prend généralement environ 8 minutes et vous pouvez espérer descendre à la ferme de votre choix parmi la liste des fermes proposées sur votre itinéraire. Deux serait le nombre maximum de fermes que vous pourrez visiter en tramway, mais vous pourrez également en visiter une troisième, si le temps le permet.
Votre premier arrêt possible en tramway serait à la première ferme appartenant à des femmes à Franschhoek, Rickety Bridge. Le tramway vous déposera aux terminaux de Rickety Bridge où vous serez pris en charge par un tracteur agricole doté de sièges confortables et transporté jusqu'à l'espace de dégustation de vins. Ici, vous serez plus que bienvenu pour choisir l’une des options de dégustation de vins disponibles. Vous pouvez également vous désinscrire de la dégustation de vin et vous asseoir au restaurant Paulina où vous pourrez prendre une collation, un café ou commander un verre de vin et profiter de la vue panoramique sur les montagnes et les vignobles de la vallée de Franschhoek.
La cave de Franschhoek est l'une des fermes des vignobles du Cap qui propose des accords uniques de vins et fromages ou de chocolats belges faits à la main. Le chocolat belge est fabriqué dans la même ville et le vin aussi. Une dégustation de vin traditionnel uniquement est également disponible si cela est un meilleur choix pour vous. La cave de Franschhoek est également la plus proche des terminaux de tramway et si vous souhaitez vous dégourdir les jambes après une journée complète de dégustation de vins multiples, vous pouvez en fait marcher jusqu'aux terminaux pour rencontrer votre guide touristique et le reste du groupe.
En rentrant au Cap, vous aurez l'occasion de vous arrêter dans une prison où Nelson Mandela a passé les 2 dernières années de ses 27 années d'incarcération. Une statue en bronze grandeur nature de ce grand homme se dresse juste devant les portes de la prison, le poing serré dans les airs comme pour symboliser la force et le courage. Votre guide vous fera un bref résumé sur le passé, le présent et la libération de Nelson Mandela avant de vous rendre au Cap pour un dépôt à votre hôtel.

This tour was a great experience. I recommend booking with the included wine tastings. Some people in our group didn’t and they ended up paying for the same tastings on the spot. Our guide Kevin was great. Very knowledgeable about the area and history as well as the wineries we visited. It helped to have the tour to guide us through the wine tram as it seemed it could be confusing to navigate on your own.

Simply put this was great. Our guide, Joseph, was awesome. He's friendly, very knowledgeable about the area, the history and the wines and he just makes you feel comfortable throughout the who day. We had a small intimate group for this tour which made it better as we bonded really well. For me, Lanzerac Wine Estate near Stellenbosch was the standout. With each of the wines, I chose to have chocolates with each wine. They paired the chocolates to the wine very well. The history behind the wines and the farm made it more real. Tokara wine estate is a very modern place which added a different ambience from Lanzerac. We then headed to Franschhoek and Leeu estate where we had lunch and another selection of wines. This was a good place to stop. As we were in a small group, we were relaxed, chatty and the lunch was good. After that we jumped on the Franschhoek wine tram which is ok. I'm judging it harshly as I am from Melbourne. But as the Franschhoek wine tram serves the wine estates, its a nice thing to travel on. We stopped at the Franschhoek Cellar for our final tasting. For me personally, Lanzerac Wine Estate was the pick of the bunch. I'm no expert on wines but I can taste the difference in each of them. Ultimately it was Joseph who made our day enjoyable. Aside from his knowledge, his personality filled the car and made us feel comfortable and we had a lot of laughs. Thanks mate!!

It was convenient to be picked up from my hotel and driven around the wine country. We stopped at four delightful vineyards and tried exquisite wines. The experience was delightful: our guide was knowledgable and the other guests made for a memorable experience. 12 international students riding high on wine were singing Sweet Caroline, Its a Kind of Magic, Country Roads, and other bangers after a day of beautiful vistas, friendly conversation, and fine wine. 12/10, highly recommended!

I was really looking forward to this tour and it didn’t disappoint. Candy (our guide) arrived on time and was very friendly. During the tour she shared great facts about the cities and towns and shared a lot about herself and life in Cape Town. She was personable and got to know each of us and made sure we interacted with each other creating a little family of friends. She gave great suggestions and and had us laughing the entire time!! Last week my sister and I had an absolutely incredible time with Peter leading us through a day of wine tasting. The wines and scenery were fantastic, but it was really Peter who made the trip what it was. When he wasn’t acting as our personal photographer, he joked around with us and was also very insightful about life in South Africa. If you want to visit the best vineyards and hit the tram in one tour, snag this one with Kevin. He drove and entertained us with stories! I am a wine snob and bought several bottles at Duty Free because the wine is that good, especially Boschendal and Tokara. 10/10 recommend 🥰
