Ensuite, visitez la mosquée de Mohamed Ali Pasha La Grande Mosquée de Muhammad Ali Pacha ou Mosquée d'Albâtre est une mosquée située dans la Citadelle du Caire en Egypte et a été commandée par Muhammad Ali Pacha entre 1830 et 1848. Située au sommet de la citadelle, cette mosquée ottomane, la plus grande construite dans la première moitié du XIXe siècle, est, avec sa silhouette animée et ses minarets jumeaux, la mosquée la plus visible du Caire. La mosquée a été construite à la mémoire de Tusun Pacha, le fils aîné de Muhammad Ali, décédé en 1816. Cette mosquée, avec la citadelle, est l'un des monuments et attractions touristiques du Caire et est l'une des premières caractéristiques à voir en s'approchant de la ville de n'importe quelle direction.
Continuez ensuite votre excursion d'une journée au bazar de Khan El Khalili. Les nombreux magasins de ce quartier sont connus pour le commerce de la dinanderie fine, du cuivre, des parfums, du cuir, de l'argent, de l'or, des antiquités et bien plus encore. (1 heure de temps passé)

We really enjoyed the day at the GEM with Sayed Mahmoud and Mohamed the driver. We were able to see all the main artifacts and many more. We were also able to go to the mosque and market. Sayed was very generous with supply water and a special gift of fresh juice. We would recommend Sayed and Mohamed and we will be blocking with them when we return.
Fatimah did an amazing job!! She was incredibly knowledgeable and did such a great job teaching us and explaining all of the history. She was also really engaging, charismatic, and fun to be around. She also picked out a great place for lunch. I highly recommend Fatimah and would absolutely do a tour with her again.
The excursion started a bit later as there was some confusion regarding the pick up point which already had been confirmed earlier when the booking was made. The problem was rectified after I got a response from Mr. Omer via whatsapp. First stop with our guide Shima was the NMEC. This is a must for first time visitors to Egypt as it gives the history in chronological order and the largest number of mummies are housed here. Shima our guide was very knowlegable and took us through the museum at a leisurely pace answering our questions. She then took us to the Citadel and then through old Cairo and lastly the bazaar. Shima was an absolute delight , always smiling and eager to accomodate our requests along the way. I highly recommend this tour and duo of Shima and driver Mohamed El Gabry.
FOUR HOURS SHORT! Done by 2pm, back to hotel 2:30pm. Included Coptic Cairo but omitted the bazaar because my Emo guide Aya combined my private tour of NEMC with another woman (and cutting the bazaar). I wanted a refund of some sort and the company was completely unhelpful. They neither contacted the guide nor followed up with me.
If there were 10 stars, I would put 10. Because the driver was good and punctual, but ABOVE ALL THE GUIDE IN ITALIAN, ARMANDO!! AN EXCEPTIONAL PERSON!!!! PROFESSIONAL (ARCHAEOLOGY GRADUATE) and really knows what he says and how to explain, PERFECT LANGUAGE AND FULL OF SYMPATHY. REALLY GREAT. ASK FOR HIM AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. We had only 1 day to see everything we missed at the beginning of our Egypt trip. Without our guide Yasmen showing us around the Museum of civilization, the Citadel, the Coptic area and the Egyptian museum we would not have been able to see everything. She was very organized and knew how to navigate places like the Citadel and Coptic Cairo in a way that we could never do on our own. Even the Egyptian museum was much better with her showing all the important highlights. Lunch was great too!
The tour is fine if you have little time to devote to Cairo. The guide, on the other hand, provided scant explanations. In addition, he took us to a shop for papyrus tourists in which he pressured us to buy telling us that it was 20 euros for us, insisting to buy and alluding to the good prices there was (a scam).
Friendly and knowledgeable guide (Sayed Mahmoud) and driver. Felucca ride was relaxing. NMEC museum is beautiful-especially the royal mummies section.

Very nice day of visit between the citadel, the museum of civilization and the bazaar. The driver perfectly adhered to the schedule and schedule, the car was comfortable and we were comfortable throughout the journey. Even if we had chosen only a driver and not a guide, he gave us some useful info, good tips and tricks to make the most of it. Serious and pleasant organization, we highly recommend!
