Lors de notre expérience quotidienne de cuisine de rue, vous serpenterez dans les rues secondaires de la vieille ville, une zone rarement vue par les touristes - plongeant dans de minuscules restaurants qui servent les habitants depuis des générations. Il y a plus de 15 goûts de kebabs fumés aux pâtisseries du destin, de légumes marinés aux falafels de fèves - dans des endroits locaux que vous ne trouverez tout simplement jamais seul.

Venez pour les pyramides, restez pour manger. La plupart ignorent que la nourriture égyptienne est l'une des plus intéressantes et nuancées de la région. Oubliez le bazar touristique de Khan-el-Khalili où les ventes sous haute pression sont le nom du jeu. Lors de notre visite quotidienne de cuisine de rue du Caire en petit groupe, vous serez conduit dans les rues du Vieux Caire en plongeant dans d'humbles restaurants qui servent les habitants depuis des générations. Venez affamés car il y a plein de choses à essayer en cours de route. Attendez-vous à des koftas grillés au charbon de bois fumé, des légumes marinés d'une usine de deux siècles, des pâtisseries et des kushari épicés piquants. Il y a des falafels aux haricots (assez différents de leurs homologues du Moyen-Orient) et des aubergines piquantes, des crevettes croustillantes dodues et des pains plats fraîchement cuits. Il y a des torréfacteurs de café et de l'agneau à cuisson lente parmi beaucoup d'autres. C'est plus qu'une simple tournée gastronomique. C'est une leçon culturelle, c'est un voyage dans les rues du Vieux Caire, des endroits qu'on ne trouve jamais seul.

I had an absolutely wonderful food tour with Sama today. From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, and she made sure I had a truly memorable experience. I was the only person on the tour, but she still gave it her full energy and made the experience feel very personal. We explored parts of South Cairo that I would never have discovered on my own, stopping at a fascinating mix of cultural sites, local shops, and small, iconic food spots that you are unlikely to find online. It was a perfect blend of history, culture, shopping, and exceptional food. Sama is also an Egyptologist, and her deep knowledge of Egypt’s history and culture added so much to the experience. She has a wonderful way of combining that knowledge with her genuine passion for food, making the tour both informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience a more authentic side of Cairo. Sama was absolutely exceptional.

Amazing food tour in old Cairo. Our guide Nada was the best- super knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about food. We had 12 delicious food and drink tastings in total and loved them all. It was a great way to see the real Cairo away from the tourists, whilst enjoying amazing traditional food.
I had a fantastic food tour in Cairo with Nada as our guide. She was incredibly friendly, polite, and clearly passionate about her work, with great knowledge of the local food and culture. Thanks to her strong connections with locals, we were taken to authentic spots I would never have discovered on my own. Every dish we tried was delicious, especially the lamb kebabs, and one of my favorite moments was sitting on the street with locals, enjoying tea and soaking up the atmosphere. Overall, it was an amazing experience exploring Cairo through its food, and I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.

Had an amazing experience with Nada who showed us around the streets of old Cairo and trying all the Egyptian delicacies. Was very cool to see the real Cairo, people watching and explore places I would have never been able to visit without her knowledge. Tried too many great foods to name, koshary, kofte, juices, teas, coffees, etc. Can highly recommend on your next trip!

We had the pleasure of joining Sama for the Cairo Night Food Tour. The tour was great with a great mix of sit down dishes as well as small bites and drinks on the way. We only visited small local businesses that we would never have found ourselves. If you are into food and adventure - just do it!
